It works well, much safer than a band saw for small trim and bevel cuts
We cut foam for all kinds of projects and this tool works better than the band saw for certain applications. Large pieces of foam that exceed the 20' throat of the band saw are simple with this saw. It has little rollers on the bottom of the base so you can glide it across the table and follow your cut line easily. The blades move quickly and you can vary the speed so tool pressure is not an issue going through thick pieces. We needed to make a bevel cut on the edge of a foam sheet and our band saw is not practical because the blade tends to suck the little cut off piece down into the wheel. This tool is easier because the reciprocating action means it doesn't pull down all the time like the band saw, and you can run a bevel by carfully holding the base and running it along the foam like a draw knife. If you work with foam, I recommend you consider this tool because it saves a lot of work. Get a set of spare blades and you'll be all set. It also beats using an electric turkey knife!

Great price and powerful
I work in Product and Development in the furniture industry and use this cutter about 5 times a week and it has been great for the past 3 months. Price is great and easy to use. Powerful enough for cutting 6inch foam. Bought 2 and would recommend for medium commercial use.

Works great
"Yes" its a modified jig saw! But it works great and much cheaper then alot of others. Remember to lubricant blade once in a while.

Plat gets stuck under foam
I really thought having a plate on the bottom was going to be the solution to my crooked cuts. But what it’s doing its jamming up when cutting i can’t pinpoint exactly what’s happening on the bottom but i keep getting stuck. Im really disappointed I’ll post a video tomorrow
