Excellent for subwoofers
The sound of this head unit is nice and crisp and it hits every bass frequency. I'm impressed by the way it made the low bass sound with my subwoofers. The radio I had before this just didn't have the sound I was looking for but this one sure did.

The big let down
So I was so hyped to find this stereo at this price and I thought it was such a great deal because I’ve been searching for a single din with a touch screen monitor that had all 3 pre-amp outputs (front, rear, sub). So I took this down to the shop and pay to get everything professionally installed (stereo, 4 channel amp, mono lock amp, subwoofer and door speakers)! When it was finished it sounded amazing. I couldn’t stop smiling driving home. That was until all of a sudden no sound was coming out anymore. I started freaking out and brought it right back to the stereo shop. He went thru everything looking for the issue. He came back and said unfortunately it’s your stereo because all amps, wires, speakers, etc… are good but your stereo is boo boo! That broke my heart especially since I just paid $400 for the complete install. So he uninstalled it and when he handed it back to me the thing was super hot and I asked if that was normal and he said no. So more than likely it overheated within 15 mins after being installed. Everything powers on and functions properly but no sound will play. He’s the professional but I still double checked everything when I got back home and like he said all the wiring was functioning great. And just to make sure I hooked up a old radio just to verify and sound came from it. So right then I knew that Jensen sold me a lemon and Amazon was the middle man. Thanks for the big let down, loss of installation money and the headache I’m probably going to have trying to return this big letdown

Audio quality is the ONLY redeeming factor
This unit puts out seriously good audio quality and fidelity for a very low price point. That, however, is the end of the list of pros to this head unit. User controls are clunky, slow, and hard to control. It literally takes 1 full second (1 Mississippi) from the time you turn the volume knob one click to the time that the unit recognizes that a volume change input has been initiated. At that point, IT DOESNT EVEN CHANGE THE VOLUME. That’s right, it only initiates the volume control, THEN you have to turn the knob AGAIN while the volume control is initiated TO ACTUALLY CHANGE THE VOLUME. Additionally, it seems to allow the volume scale to actually slide. Meaning you were listening at level 23, then you turn it down to 14. The level at 14 (or any number) IS NOT CONSISTENT. It may be the level you experienced at 7 in an earlier session. Bizarre. You must set the time on the clock during the am hours of the day. If you install your radio in the PM and set your time, the radio will automatically change the pm back to am. No matter what. Set it during the am, and it will stay am, and change correctly during the pm hours. Bizarre. The small unit display will not show the time, even if you have the big screen folded in. The only instance it shows the time on that screen is for litterally 1 second during the power down process once the car is turned off. It says “good bye” then shows the time for 1 second, then powers down. What is the use of that?!??!? Touch screen is hard to read in the day time. Touch screen is not responsive. If you choose a preset EQ setting in the eq editor, and you want slightly adjust one of the bands, the moment you touch any of the bands EVERYTHING reverts to the “user” setting. So if you want to have a variation of the “rock” eq, you have to set everything manually to match, which means pin back and forth between the “rock” setting and the user setting to try and mimic. Bizarre. That’s just the tops of the iceberg. But it does sound good at least.
