Very solid and easy to work with.
I am remodeling my house and try to refurbish as much of the old trim as possible. This sander has been a huge help in that endeavor. I have it set up on its own stand and find myself using it quite often as I work. A good buy for the price and ease of use. It is very solid, sturdy and handy.

Great belt sander for the money
I'll preface by saying that I am an amateur wood worker and this is my first belt sander. I do a lot of power carving and was in need of a belt sander. This one was at a really good price point, had good reviews (on Amazon), and looked more solid in comparison to others in the same category (Harbor Freight and the like). There was minimal set up, just the bar on the top and the shelf below which were both easily screwed on. The belt itself has had its grit hold up pretty well with what I've used it on (oak, plywood, cedar), but I have not tried changing it out. My biggest gripe is the poor dust collection it has, I connected a shop vac and I still had a significant amount of sawdust accumulate on some parts on top. The miter gauge seems a little chintzy, but not a big deal for the price in my opinion. The unit is SOLID with a strong steel body and minimal plastic parts. I was very pleased with it's heft and stability that seems above its price point. It doesn't look like a toy with some other sanders I was considering. I'm not a fan of the baby poop green color, but that is lowest on my list of priorities.

Sturdy, Well Made, Just what I needed
I bought a Ryobi sander and had to assemble all the parts. The belt dragged on the top of the base and the sander was so loud I wore ear plugs.Gotta love Amazon. Of course, they took it right back and I bought a Rockwell from them for about $25 more. It arrived in Phoenix from NY in 2 days! It is all assembled and the noise level is way down. It is a better design, stronger parts and the belt is spaced away from the base so it doesn't drag. I like it way better.

Decent bench top sander kit
I’m loving this bench top sander setup. We make a lot of small wood craft items for home decor in our shop and frequently have small pieces that need a quick sanding and this is helping speed things through our production much quicker. It’s quiet, reasonably powerful and paper changes aren’t too complicated. Real happy with our purchase!

Neat Tool!
Just got it in today. Good solid construction (cast iron body). Some small assembly required. Used it for awhile, no vibration as of yet. Just running for 30 min at a time to clean up small miter joints, red oak, 3/4". Does a very nice job. You do need to do your own set up for angles on the miter base/platform relative to the sanding disc, if you want something other than 90 degree. Just use the body of a square for the 45 degree. Quick and simple. Also the best advice I can give you is take it slow and easy. Let the belt and the disc do the sanding. You don't need to force the material into the sanding belt/disc. This is a bench tool not some 3phase floor model with 15 HP. There was no run off of the pre-loaded belt at all. Tracks nicely. So all in all, I'm very pleased. Will check back in 6 months or so with an up date.

Great Product
I needed something to help shape my knife and garden tool handles and this belt grinder does the job. Prior to this I was using a portable belt sander which was hard to maneuver and cumbersome because I needed to bolt it to my table. For the price of this sander, I can't complain. It does what I need it to do.

Belt stripped out in first 10 minutes of use
I used this for making an acoustic guitar bridge bland from Ebony rough sawn blank. It was 8" x 2" x 5/8" piece of Ebony. I was able to sand 3 sides but on the final side sanding belt started slipping, the motor was still turning but any downward pressure on the wood and the belt quit turning. I removed the drive belt guard and the drive belt was hanging loose on the 2 driveshafts. When I got the drive belt off I saw that the ribs had stripped away 11 ribs gone and several others tearing away. I am a machinist by trade, was not applying excessive pressure. The tool itself seems sturdy and well made. It was sanding evenly and I was pleased until the drive belt gave out. Very disappointed in that for sure. I have to finish this guitar and was hoping this would have been a tool that I could use in the future. Have no idea how long it will take to get a replacement drivebelt or if I do will it just happen again!! Thinking of sending the whole thing back. :(
