Great antenna. Improved signal and extra channels to boot.
We bought the Televes DAT BOSS MIX LR antenna to replace a RadioShack VU-1902XR antenna that we had for many years. The RadioShack antenna, like all of us, slowly degraded with time. There was a gradual, imperceptible decrease in reception which led to some channels starting to pixelate. The Televes antenna came as multiple parts and pieces that were very well packed but looked intimidating. However, the included instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Once installed and after a channel scan our signal strength had improved and we even got more channel than we previously had. The broadcast towers where we live are approximately 65 miles away and there are some hills in between. We are completely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it.

Crystal Clear Picture
Mounted this at the peak of our two-story house and pointed it SE. Picked up all the local channels crystal clear. It additionally pick up some faraway NY stations, due east of us. This is a fantastic antenna.

Finally, no pixelation.
Located at the extreme fringe of the Seattle broadcast coverage area, we have struggled with reliable reception of upper UHF channels. Our previous setup consisted of a Range Xperts Long Range VHF/UHF antenna paired with an RCA 22 dB preamplifier, mounted approximately 35 ft above ground level on a rotor. Despite this, high-UHF signals frequently exhibited pixelation and, in marginal cases, were not detected at all. The Televes DAT BOSS HDGV was selected based on its technical reputation and design claims, particularly regarding gain, filtering, and “repack-ready” performance. In comparative testing, the difference was substantial. While height and azimuth have long been recognized as critical for OTA reception, this antenna’s provision for mechanical tilt adjustment, combined with its multi-director array, adds an additional degree of optimization that is often overlooked in consumer installations. Notably, even when evaluated at a reduced mounting height of approximately 15 ft, the DAT BOSS HDGV increased the channel count by 16 stations relative to our previous antenna system. More importantly, upper UHF channels that were previously unstable or not even detected, are now received with rock-solid reliability and visibly improved image quality. Given the FCC’s spectrum repack, which forced many TV broadcasters to shift frequencies, the Televes “repack ready” claim appears to be more than marketing language. In real-world fringe conditions, this antenna demonstrated superior performance, particularly on challenging high-UHF signals, and effectively eliminated the pixelation issues that previously impacted live sports viewing.

Great Build Quality, Great Reception, Straight Forward Assembly
All the parts are fabricated well. Assembly is fine if you stick to the instructions, and go about it slowly. I watched a video on Televes put out that greatly assisted the assembly and I used it (with lots of pausing) along with the printed instructions. I used an RCA mini yagi antenna prior, and while that unit was nice when I first installed it, we've since erected a large shed that got in the way, and a neighbor built a large house and shed that further inhibited the signal. Even with an amp, we weren't able to split the signal, and only got a handful of channels after the shed and the neighbor's buildings went up. That and all the channels I wanted were in the vicinity of 50-60 miles away. I could only draw one of the major network channels, and even they were spotty. I assembled the Televes and placed it in a terrible location (front porch, and lower than the RCA). It's tilted sort of downward to boot. This is a temporary location; don't need a big honkin' tv antenna on my front porch. Either way, I plugged two coax cables to two separate tv's and immediately got nearly double the channels I had been getting, and all the major network channels are now crystal clear on both tv's. This antenna is the real deal in my opinion.

Easy set up and it works great
I’ve been contemplating getting a TV antenna for years. The last straw was YouTube TV’s dispute with Disney/ABC. The Televes DATBOSS solved my problem. Easy to assemble (take your time as there are a lot of pieces) if you follow the instructions. All I had to do was point it in the general direction of the local towers and BANG, I got 162 channels. I’d heard that picture quality was good, but was still surprised at how bright and clear the image is. I paired with Tablo TV so I can record and share the one connection with multiple TVs.

Great Antenna!
I`m 40 miles southeast of DFW` Antenna hill. 104 channels , off channels include weather, westerns, movies and crime dramas. Not a lot of Spanish. Saved $100 a month on basic direct tv.
