I am very glad that I decided to go with a genuine Google cable instead of an aftermarket one. This cable is very well made and, as expected, fits my Nest cam perfectly. It was a bit more expensive than the off brand but I feel confident that I will not have any problems with this cable down the line. It came with several cable mounts for the cord.

I originally ordered this as "Used-Like New" sold by Amazon Warehouse, because hey, why not save a few bucks, it's just a power cord. When it arrived, the Google packaging was correct, but it was clear that the contents were not correct. The cord that came had a physically functional connector at the camera end, but the wall end was just a male USB-A connector (and there was no adapter in the box). It was also a flat cable- which was suspicious because the Google wall anchor cable holders (which were in the box) were clearly for a round cable. I installed the cord anyway to get my camera running, using the suspect cord with the adapter that came with the camera. All seemed fine until a couple weeks later when the camera ran out of battery. The situation was odd to me, because the camera WAS powered on via the cord but not charging the battery, and it was behaving erratically because it was at 0% battery.Anyway, I presumed/hoped my suspect power cord was the culprit and not the camera, so I ordered another cord (the brand new variety-- sure enough it had a round cable and a molded-in power adapter) and thankfully the battery charged up overnight and all is well. Hence the 4-star review, I don't want to penalize the product for this issue (4 stars because I feel it's a little overpriced). Anyway, I assume someone scam-returned a 3rd party cable, and Amazon Warehouse missed this before re-stocking for sale as a genuine used item. It's on its way back, hope it doesn't end up on someone else's porch.

Very long cord worked great to hardwire my Google nest Camera. Extends the battery life to infinity. The cord is thick and built well. Magnetizes to the nest cam.

Tried using non google cables at first and they did not supply enough power. These work great.
