Carpuride W701, Carpuride 7 inch Portable Wireless Carplay & Android Auto, IPS Touchscreen, Bluetooth 5.0 Audio Hands Free Calling/Mirror Link/GPS/Siri/Mic, Dash Windshield Mounted

I saw the listing for this item (and saw several FaceBook ads for it) and have several cars that are too old to have Android Auto in them. I was originally skeptical, but after installing it in my 1995 BMW, it worked perfectly. It connected to my phone (Pixel 6 Pro) without any issues. Waze works great. Phone calls are clear. I had added an auxiliary input to another one of my older cars (a 2000 BMW Z3) and the sound quality is fantastic through the car stereo system (I can even hear it clearly with the top down (and perhaps going a tiny bit over the posted limit). Somehow, in moving it between cars, I lost the lock nut that attaches the mount to the display. I used a tablet stand and a bunch of rubber bands to try to keep it on the dash. I contacted the seller, and they sent me a new part. I'm back in business. This is a great device to modernize an older vehicle. I love it.

Works very easily out of the box. Lots of options, with Apple Play top of the list. Syncs super easy with iPhone. Best to run sound through car stereo, which is not difficult. Tech support is quick and helpful- I sent them a jpg and they sent me (free) software to change the logo on my boot up screen so it looks as if it is original to my car. Been running it 5 months with no issues. Great update for my pre-Apple Play car for a good price. 4.5 stars. Nothing is perfect!

I was debating adding CarPlay to my A4 for the longest time. I looked at replacing my head unit and installing an add on, either one called to tear into my car. This is PERFECT! Good strong suction cup mount and connects within 10 seconds every time! I love the FM transmitter function and makes everything so smooth. Do yourself a favor and buy the hardwire kit. I did mine to a switchable 5amp so I don’t have to worry about parasitic drain. It’s great, I turn the car on, the Carpuride boots, and connects, then turns off when I turn off the car! Great viewing angles, I don’t worry about sun. The screen is very responsive, as good as my 18 F150.

The unit works so-so I will tell customers service at Carpuride is terrible I can’t get it to play video I message them and emailed takes days to respond and been a week still not resolved or even close to being resolved thinking about sending back and buying different brand.

Great product. Works like it supposed to. Easy. I needed the navigation system and I will try the other features. Navigation is great. Large, easy to read, and the sound is fantastic. Clear and not too loud. Receiving phone calls is also great. Hands free. No hassle. Safe for driving.

It worked for a little while than it just didn’t sync too well, then not at all. Unless CarPlay is already preinstalled in your car, it’s great. But an auxiliary device is not quite the same. I’m better off using my iPhone in my car.

This is a great item if you own a vehicle that doesn’t have gps. Easy to install and connects quickly to your smartphone.

This unit is surprisingly high quality. Many foreign CarPlay units you can get are low quality with buggy interface and bad screens. This unit's screen looks very high quality and responsive. Forget using the built in speaker though. It's small and might be OK when using it for directions or podcasts. Anything music needs to be played through aux. I haven't tried the Fm transmitter since I don;t need it. Overall this unit is a great way to update your old car stereo system without buying a whole new radio.

Buena sensibilidad de la pantalla Buena calidad de imagen El sonido de las bocinas integradas es de muy baja calidad, mas no es su funcion primaria. Se tiene que apagar y prender manualmente, no enciende con el vehiculo o celular. Despues de alrededor 2 meses de uso, de vez en cuando la pantalla queda en negro y hay que desconectarlo de la alimentación de 12V para restablecer. ( me ha psado 3 veces en 2 semanas) Lo que hice para conectarlo y usarlo fue: -conectar iPhone a pantalla Carpuride por bluetooth y al mismo tiempo al estéreo Bluetooth de mi camioneta. -lo anterior me permite utilizar los controles del volante de manera normal y al usar el boton de comando de voz, activa Siri en Carplay -otra opción es conectar el iPhone a la Pantalla Carpuride para tener Carplay y el Aux de la pantalla al estereo de la camioneta (el iphone no se comecta al estereo de fabrica). De esta manera se tiene una salida de audio buena (el de la camioneta), pero los controles del estéreo original y del volante no sirven (solo volumen) En resumen, opción económica para contar con CARPLAY en lugar de gastar 5-8mil pesos en un estereo android chino y modificar el auto

2016 equinox. Received today, used suction stand to install, plugged in power, plugged into Aux input, connected Bluetooth and away we go. Simple hookup if u have the room, just have to adjust EQ. Got a text, replied by voice, just what I wanted. Bluetooth in car works, but if I fast forward it stops working, so got this to bypass...so far so good. Wireless Android auto works, might try wired android auto on my day off..see how long the suction stand works...

My daughter wanted Apple Car Play in her older model Ford Escape. This unit was the perfect option. The hardest part was hiding the cables ( which wasn’t hard at all). I researched many different brands and CARPURIDE came on top every time. If you want an Infotainment system for your older model vehicle this is the perfect unit. Beautiful display with all the options of a factory installed unit. The map display alone is worth the money. No more looking down at your phone. So much safer!! This product is very high quality and was delivered the next day. I showed my friend the unit and he was so impressed that he purchased one that day for his wife’s vehicle. No disappointments !
