Lava beads hold scent truer, longer and are reusable. These lava beads are beautifully colored and durable. The size is perfect for most jewelry applications. The hole in the bead is a good size. Not too small for most wire but not so large it leaves a gap. Not large enough for leather cording.Lava beads hold scent longer, and I've discovered the organic nature of beads preserves the true scent of your oils better than colored, chemically created pads.These are particularly porous beads which work well with most daily wear DIY creations. I wouldn't use them for more elegant creations but they are an excellent overall product.
