Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Moisturizer Normal/Oily Skin

I ordered this on a whim because I keep trying different lotions with none of them helping. Organic, non-organic, gel, cream, “water.” Expensive (origins- $35) or not (the ordinary- $7). This is the best I’ve found for my skin, which is very oily on my forehead but dry on my cheeks, and breakouts always happening on my jaw line. It applies well, and absorbs very quickly which I really like. The scent is minimal, for me it’s not a problem, I don’t mind heavily scented, even though this isn’t perfumed. I put it on after washing my face in the PM, and when I woke up my skin still felt moisturized, no new breakouts, and no sheen. My skin still felt clean, not oily or sticky. It’s got about a 12 hour life on my skin before I could apply more, but I don’t feel my skin desperate for more since it seems to actually have absorbed well. I definitely like the glass bottle, it looks expensive and sturdy, for travel I’m sure it would be bad. There was no damage to the product which was great, I was worried buying it online with other stuff it might be poorly packaged. I wish they made a body lotion like this. I know there’s a water gel product for the body but I had an allergic reaction to that one so I was pleasantly surprised with this. It looks like it will last a while too.

I have found it difficult to find just the right moisturizer for my skin type (normal/combination/oily). I have tried MANY different brands and types. They have all irritated my skin or been too heavy. I decided to give this one a shot and was blown away. I use it as a nighttime moisturizer. The thing I like most is the ease of application. It feels so smooth going on your skin. The texture is jellylike. I can feel the instant hydration. I have noticed significantly less oil production and smoother skin since I have started use. The packaging is eye catching while the overall aesthetic of the product is lavish. Give this a shot, you won’t regret it.

This moisturizer is simply amazing! I used to use another l'oreal product similar to this but couldn't find it in the US so I tried this one and I'm so glad I did. This product is even better! I have large pores and find it hard to get that smooth look to my face, but this product just seems to even everything out by not accentuating the flaws on my face from excessive oil, etc. It is amazing for (neutralizing) oily skin, it's so moisturizing, it absorbs super quickly and it leaves your face looking absolutely perfect. There's no shine at all. Just healthy looking, healthy feeling, ultra moisturized skin. It also has a very light, refreshing fragrance. I just got my first bottle today and I'm ordering another immediately. I keep seeming to have bad luck with products that I love being discontinued so I'm going to make sure I don't run out of this one!!! I'm so glad I found this. I love love love this product.

I have HIGHLY sensitive combination skin that is more oily than dry for the most part, and tend to be suspicious of most beauty products because the vast majority cause me breakouts.I usually use Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer - which is about as close to perfect as I have found for my skin type. However, when I run out when I’m traveling or staying out of town for a bit, I sometimes grab a bottle of this for convenience since it’s easy to get anywhere. My husband also uses it. It’s a quick, easy, and affordable back up in a pinch!The PROS:While this initially broke me out during the first week of use, the breakout subsided and it does not irritate my sensitive skin too much. Where my combination skin is concerned, I appreciated how this moisturizer can be layered thickly during winter when more moisture is needed. If I happen to be using it when the weather is hot and humid, only a thin application layer is needed. It absorbs nicely, sits well under makeup, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky or oily. The consistency and texture is exactly what can be expected from most aqua gel moisturizers.THE CONSThere is SO much fragrance in this product. So much so that when I first attempted to use it, I was afraid to put it on my skin. Fragrances can irritate sensitive skin and I remain suspicious of the strong fragrance in this moisturizer but to be fair, it has not irritated my skin as much as a lot of other fragranced face products. But quite honestly, I have never ever used another aqua gel moisturizer with this much fragrance, and I wish L'Oreal would make a non-fragranced version as it really ruins the experience of applying the moisturizer. It's not a calming scent or a fresh, natural scent like a light citrus either - it smells like cheap air freshener to me. Also, while this moisturizer does not seem to overly irritate my skin, absorbs well, and keeps it sufficiently hydrated, I'm not sure that it necessarily improves my skin in any noticeable way.I might keep using it when I need to but wouldn’t call this my holy grail moisturizer by any means.But I do recommend people with combination/oily skin give this a shot - especially if you're not too sensitive to fragrance. Despite my gripes with some aspects of the product, I have definitely found it to be superior to the vast majority of drug store moisturizers for our skin type.

I absolutely love this product, I've tried more expensive products but it just laid on you're face never soaking in. I happen to have Oily Face, and I'm always washing it and the L'oreal for oily skin said the more you wash you're face the more oilier skin you will have,so plus the Aloe Vera water and the other ingredient in it gives you a matte finish and when I tried for the first time, it's so light weight and putting it on my sore face, I was stunned to watch how it in seconds it went into my face all over, underneath my eyes and plumped up and from scrubbing my face so hard it was so healing and soothing that my face wasnt burning, and it does give you a matte finish shine free for me up to 6 hours and the price is so affordable that me on disability for an illness right now, im so happy with this product, I hope they never quit making it!
