Hoppe's Gun Medic Bio-Based Cleaner & Lube

This stuff is honestly fantastic. Great price, substantial cleaning power, and lubricates at the same time. It's got a potent smell, so I don't recommend using indoors except for ventilated workshops or outdoors. It's a very strong solvent, so be careful not to get it on any finishes (wood especially) that you don't want to damage. Slam dunk of a product for field cleaning and lubricant. Leaves a nice coat of lubricant on the sprayed surface that's just the right amount once you give it a single good wipe. I haven't had to use it on any rust, so I can't speak to that. It has a very high-pressure nozzle, so it really gets everywhere it needs to and especially the hard to reach spots in receivers and whatnot. But overall really efficient, effective gun cleaner.

The strong aerosol spray is great for blasting out all the unburnt powder that collect in the upper receiver. Best thing is that it mostly evaporates after a few minutes, leaving a film of lubricant. Especially useful when shooting suppressed since that tends to blow back more crud. Easier than trying to wipe or brush the inside surfaces. It has become one of my go to cleaners.

I use this Hoppe's to clean and lubricate my pistols and revolvers. It does a great job and leaves a very thin film of lube to keep the guns from rusting when not being used. I highly recommend this product.

This stuff is a must for both firearms and homeowners. For firearms it cleans and lubes. For homes, you can apply this to hinges on doors and squeaking anything! It has a pleasant smell that evaporates. Hoppes makes great products and this is just one of many. The aerosol is somewhat hard to control the spray. It's powerful. So if you want to use it sparingly you have to go slow. For jammed firearms just blast away. Definitely keep in your range bag. Lastly, it is biobased and also has a high heat tolerance.

Works well but over priced

Awesome lubricant/oil product. I take this with me every time I go to the range, and I use it often. It has never let me down, and I don't find need for any other product.

What can I say. Everyone knows this is the premier cleaner for firearms. I spray, let sit, and wipe. Much easier to clean spraying than wetting a patch from the bottle. Either way is good, but I now prefer the spray. Cut my cleaning time considerably.

Good but too expensive. Found same product, same volume at Canadian Tire in Ontario for 17.49 CAD
