Quincy 26 gal - Sweet!
Excellent and loving it! I am using a 3/8" hose with Milton "V" fittings and I'm very happy with the flow. Quiet also. Would recommend it to anyone who has OCD like myself and wants a great compressor. Highly recommend it. You can also convert to 220 if you want to.

This better not need service!
We called Quincy in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania sometime in February, to repair our Quincy air dryer. They came at the end of March and said that there was a part they did not know about and they would be back. Another tech came back and fiddled with it for a while it seemed like he did not know what he was doing. On another visit a third technician came out and said that there was a defective controller meaning the motherboard. I believe the second technician may have shorted something out during his diagnostics. We’ve been waiting for them to return. I don’t think anybody really knows what’s wrong with this as they will not return. Water has been running through our system and destroying our pneumatics.

Excellent value. You seem to get what you pay for in this instance.
This seems like one of those occasions where you get what you pay for. I looked long and hard at air compressors that suited my needs. I wanted: Portable 120/240V capably motor maximum CFM for a 2-3HP pump and motor What I found was a wide range of prices($400 - $1000) and a mixed bag of reviews for all products. Since I only want to buy one compressor I decided to risk overpaying in the hope that I'd get a better quality product delivered to my door. That gamble seems to have paid off. The compressor arrived on a sturdy skid and well packaged for shipping. I had it delivered to my place of buisness, where there is a loading dock to take delivery. I set the compressor in my truck with a forklift and transported it to my shop at home. Unloading was easy. A few lag screws to remove and I set some ramps on the skid in the bed of the truck . I was able to roll the compressor down the ramp to the ground by myself. It is top heavy and two people would make this easier. I installed the compressor in the shop and re wired the motor for 240V primary power. One tiny comment is that I wish the Century motor had a complete wiring schematic on the motor nameplate. The details are a little vague and I had to go to the internet for a more complete wiring schematic to get the job done. Turns out this motor is used in some swimming pool pump applications, so the wiring schematic isn't hard to find. The compressor fired right up and I ran it through the 1 hour break-in procedure; with the tank drain valve open. It's loud with all the air being allowed to vent out of the tank. Don't do this when the neighbors will mind. Once the break-in was done, I closed up the system and filled the tank. Leaving the tank full, but the motor switched off, I checked the system for leaks. The tank holds pressure very well, I estimate leakage at about 5psi over a two week period with the tank pressurized to 125psi. The compressor runs quitely for this size of unit and the fit/finish seems very good. I found the belt and pulleys to be in good alignment and expect many years of good service from the unit

Good compressor. Very quiet fairly quick to build pressure
Good compressor. Very quiet fairly quick to build pressure. Only con so far is if it is in a cold area say 35 degrees it doesn't like to start. It keeps blowing the 20 amp circuit breaker. Tries to start but turns very slow then kicks the breaker. Have to hear it up for a bit first then it is fine.

Very Pleased
Super air compressor. Came shipped on a pallet with a heavy cardboard over-box. Very quiet operation compared to all others. And of course, it is a Quincy. They are a leader in industrial compressors.

This is a great little compressor
This is a great little compressor. I bought it to keep up with my plasma gun it's one of two small compressors that can do that in this size range. Electric motor is dual voltage 115/230 single phase it's comes with a 5-15 plug but when running constantly amperage creeps above 16 amps drawing more then what the nec recommends on a 20 amp circuit I solved this my making it 240 volts cut the plug installed l6-20 plug and receptacle on 15amp double pole breaker with 12 awg cable. Tested amp draw never goes above 9 amps. Note you have to change 2 leads at back or electrical motor there's a diagram that shows which 2 have to be changed. Fine fine compressor for the size and recovery speed. Can't do any better for the size...
