HQST Branch Connectors Y Connector in Pair MMF+FFM for Parallel Connection Between Solar Panels (1 Pair)

I haven’t actually used these yet, but they look good and I am setting them aside for the day that I do need them for my solar power system

I purchased these MC4 connectors to make an extension cable for a folding solar panel. The connectors seem to be good quality and attach securely to connectors on the solar panel's wires. I was a little worried about how easy installation would be since I do not have an MC4 crimper or the assembly tool, but it turns out that a crimper for 30A PowerPoles created a nice tight crimp on these and I was able to screw on the caps by hand without needing the assembly tool. It is a little fiddly to disconnect the plugs by hand, but it is possible without the specialized tool.

Item works as described. I ordered the 5 pair all of which are Renogy branded. One of the male connectors had broken clips, but the rest are in good shape.I installed these on a solar panel and they worked with no hassle.With one being broken I am interested to see how the rest hold up.

I'm putting a lot of solar panels together and this is the third batch of these I've ordered. They are working very well. Nice connector.

Connectors are as advertised on Amazon and are easy to assemble.

The tabs on these connectors are way thinner than my solar panel connectors. They mate, but the holding strength is not as good.
