Quality Look and Feel, Sharp! and Great Sheath Design
As with most things in online shopping you never know what you're going to get, and this knife is pretty solid. The knife: has a good length and I like the design of the blade, and I think it looks intuitive for about anything you'd need it for. It's sharp, very sharp right out of the box and it looks like they put effort into it's production. The handle isn't very thick but is long and allows you to have a full good grip and is very ergonomic. Also, the forefinger hilt gives some extra safety in case of slipping. The design is good and feels like good quality. The Sheath: Quality leather, or it totally feels like leather. It's not stiff plastic or hard baked leather, it's good material and feels soft and malleable, I love this design, it's versatile and intuitive. Most sheaths just give the option to have it vertical and you have to Frankenstein it to secure it any other way. I have the option to secure it vertically or horizontally and it's built into the sheath, so it'll stay secure. Yes it does come with a sharpening stone, I feel its a little small but good to have if you need it, when you need it. Overall great product and I'm eager to use it on camping trips. Good Buy

Great knife. Very well made.
Great knife. Very well made. Sheath is very functional, but the stitching came apart on the belt loop after only one week of wearing. Was not rough on it. Will take it in to get new stitching done at leather repair. Other than that very happy with it. Perfect size for carrying.

Excellent knife...be a man!!!
The craftsmanship is awesome but its not a pretty blade, it looks like it wants abuse, smile and keep going. The blade is thick enough to pry or dig with and I know I can rely on it's utility for the rest of my life. The same goes for the horizontal carry sheath, real leather and excellent stitching. This blade although blood grooved is a heavy enough to be used to severe small and large game bones and joints as a chopper likes logs but not so good as a slicer. Get a drop blade knife if you want to slice in my opinion. The blade has a tanto point which is awesome for piercing tough material. The spine is serrated, and has jimping to prevent thumb slip. Grip has excellent fingering and guard. This full tang blade comes with a nice wood scraping feature, a second edge in the blade perfect for stripping bark, making shavings for kindling or a fuzz stick. What is D2 steel, short answer best of both worlds for holding an edge and strength.

Excellent for the money!
In my opinion, anyone having a problem with this knife is expecting too much for the money. Essentially, this is a tanto version of the Tom Brown Tracker shown in the movie The Hunted. They are over $300. Points: 1. D2 tool steel is fine for camp knives and any other common use. If you need a combat fighting or survival knife there are others designed for the purpose. 2. The edge is sharp but too shallow to be very durable. No problem really. Do your homework and reshape the edge to suit your use. 3. One reviewer found loose stitching on the sheath. Mine was tight. Hey, this is thick leather and strong, but isn't a $100 sheath. If you use it, you'll have to put a few stitches in it sometime anyway. 4. For me, this knife is perfect. It is extremely attractive and not so valuable that you can't actually use it. It will see a lot of use in camp and I won't cry if the blade gets scratched. I'll be buying more as gifts.

Odd sheathe, decent knife
My knife came in with a bit of a wonky paintjob where both sides are uneven and the part that goes around the very bottom edge of the handle looks like it was intentionally scratched off. It's REALLY SHARP and I haven't had to sharpen it just yet but I heard that it'll really wear down the blade faster then usual so I'll try and be more careful with it for now. The sheathe is like a whole 2 inches longer and I feel like it was actually meant for one of the other models and was just re-used despite being a little dangerously loose. I don't like how easily the knife is cutting away at the leather despite having had only gone through very light use (cutting tape and paper, not even cardboard or anything thick). I'm not a fan of horizontal carry but I wasn't really buying this for the sheathe anyways. I read the reviews and knew it wouldn't last long from the start. This feels like it was meant for people with big hands, and my hands are already big. It's really uncomfortable using this because of the big curve just under the hilt, but I honestly think it would be perfectly fine if it were just the same handle but smaller or if those curves were adjusted. The weight feels nice, not too heavy not too light. It's not a bad knife overall.
