Does What A "Made in USA" Tool is Supposed to Do!
I used this crimping tool to crimp over 500 23AWG forked terminals to leads from the BMS'S on my LTO SCiB batteries. Everything I tried previously to get them to hold, short of soldering, didn't work. I was amazed that I could crimp the terminals without puncturing the plastic around the crimping area of the terminals. I got such a good cold crimp that I couldn't pull off the terminals. They are somewhat fatiguing on my hands and I had to take a break, after each 25 crimps, for a few minutes. My hands were quite sore for a few days after I finished the last terminal. I also used this tool for crimping connectors on my solar panels and was satisfied with the results. They were very stiff initially but, after some penetrating oil, loosened up fine. I have a full set of Channel locks in my tool box and have never had any problems with them. They are a very good American company and these are made in the USA. If you start your crimp in the first station of the tool as shown in picture and then move to second station, it won't penetrate the plastic.

By far my favorite crimpers
"Well they are channellocks". Do I really need to say anything else. I mean you just cant loose with channel lock. They have been around for a long time and they make great products. There are a bunch of different brand crimpers out there, Snapon, Klein, Irwin, Greenlee, and some unbranded crimpers, and I have probably tried them all. These channellock crimpers are my go to though. I always keep multiple pairs on hand. Out of all the crimpers on the market, I find that these are simply the best for the money. They last for quite a while, they do not have to be worked out before they loosen up, the grips are thin material which I prefer, because it allows for more finesse when stripping smaller wire and believe it or not they are as hard on the hands and wrists as the crimpers with thicker grips. Also one of my favorite things about these channellocks that most other brands do not incorporate is the part of the head that is used to pull insulation off of wires. If you are still using other brand crimpers. You are seriously missing out.

Sturdy
After getting frustrated with the cheap stamped-metal terminal crimpers, I decided to get myself a good, stout pair. These do not disappoint. They cut copper wire cleanly, even stranded, and give a very good crimp. For small terminals, you may need to tighten the crimp a bit, in the area of the jaw closest to the hinge, which is no big deal if you are doing a crimp here or there, but if you do a lot of work with very thin wire and terminals, it may be a good idea to look to a plier that has a smaller crimp notch. However, for everything from speaker wires, to at least 10 ga (the biggest I tried so far) it works great, and makes as tight a crimp as anything I have used. As a bonus, the pliers seem sturdy enough to last a lifetime, and are USA made.

Good, but not perfect
These are good strippers for a good price. They strip well, cut well, loop well, and they do not flex and bend like lesser wire strippers I have used. Also the bolt cutter is great. I do have a few concerns with them however. I have never had any luck getting good crimps with the crimping section, I prefer the crimpers that have one round edge, and one pointed edge opposed to these. The other problem i have had is that the bolt that holds the pliers together kept coming loose when i would use the bolt shearing function, I remedied this with some red loctite and steaking the bolt with a center punch. Last problem is... These do not show the stranded wire gauges, and the engravings are only laser etched and not stamped on one side like others I have used. Overall for the price and ranges of wire gauges covered, and the fact that its made in the usa and is channellock brand, they arent a bad set of strippers, but they could definitely be better.

Muy buena herrienta.. corta con el mínimo esfuerzo y es muy útil al ponchar las terminales aisladas y desnudas. Llevo un mes usándola y me gusta su funcionalidad.
