I've had bean-to-cup machines for years and, until this point, always used genuine manufacturer filters. I thought I'd see whether there's any difference given costs and give this a shot. Complete waste of money. My machine had problems getting water through reliably, making a noise I've never heard except when using these filters. I tried changing them to see if it was perhaps just a bad one in the batch, however the issue was present in the second as well, and the third, which saw me quickly change them out. I tried putting an original back in after the 3rd had the same problems and voila: machine worked flawlessly with the original. When the machine asked to change the filter, which it had not made it to with these Waterdrop filters, I tried the last Waterdrop filter to see. Guess what? Exact same issues with water flow once more. Back to manufacturer filter and everything worked without a hitch.These filters were not suitable as a replacement.

It's cheap, it works but who knows what you are drinking.When the filter was replaced i had to flush the the coffee machine about 8x as it was discharging grey/black super cloudy water. (Fine when replaced with my old non orig filter)Additionally i had to force (blow) the water in to this filter at the end as it wasnt taking in any more water when submerged. Without that the coffee machine was making funny noise and displaying error.

made sure that the filters where the ones for my delonghi coffee machine.. measured the old one and exactly the same size and fitting on the bottom.. turned up ok.. put it against the old one and looked good.. pushed it into the water container filled up.. pushed for a coffee.... nothing.. machine made a funny noise and then said water empty... checked the filter a couple of times but still didn't work... left filter out and worked fine... when I checked the new filters just brought there was grey coloured water coming out of both of them... so ended up throwing them away.. wasn't impressed

My old filter was long overdue to replace the filter. The coffee tasted wrong. I bought these for my Delonghi bean to cup machine because the genuine ones were really expensive. I soaked the filter, rinsed a whole tank of water through it. Now I have perfectly tasting coffee again. I hadn’t realised how important changing the filter was. I live in a soft water area and don’t have much lime in our water. But my word, there was a huge difference in the coffee before and after this filter was put in. Highly recommend it. It does what it is supposed to do. But cheaper. Don’t bother buying the expensive ones. Buy these

Update: It appears it is just the one cartridge out of the pack of 4 that is causing problems. Having tried another cartridge it is working just fine so I have updated from 2 stars to 4 stars.Unlike the genuine Delonghi caartridges which have never given a problem in my Primadonna Exclusive, these cause issues everytime the machine is powered on. The initial automatic rinse cycle never completes giving a Empty Fill Circuit error every single time. I then have to force a rinse cycle and it then makes coffee just fine. But the next time the machine is turned on the Empty Fill Circuit error again. I have been persevering for 10 days so unfortunately they will now be returned :(
