DJI RC Pro for DJI Mavic 3/DJI Air 2S

Q: Hello, I'm looking to buy the mini 3 pro drone with this control, what's the difference between this control and the non-pro control?

I am assuming that with the non pro controller you mean the DJI Rc which is the controller that still has the screen but its gray. The DJI Rc screen brightness is only 750 nits while the Rc pro is 1000 nits of brightness. You can also hook up this controller to external displays through the usb c port or the mini HDMI port. There is also a little bit of battery life difference but not much in my opinion. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Yes, This does work with the Air 2s. It is the controller I use with mine

Yes. It does work with the Mavic 2 Mini

Q: will this increase the range of the mini pro 3?

DJI RC Pro controller uses the same OcuSync 3 tech as the DJI RC and DJI RC-N1 controllers. Ergo, they all have about the same range. The major difference is the built in display on RC Pro is much brighter (1000 nits) in direct sunlight compared with the display on DJI RC. The built in fan also keeps the display brighter than most phones when using the DJI RC-N1 controller with the DJI Mini 3 Pro. If you're already using the DJI RC with the Mini 3 Pro, stick with that. If you're using RC-N1 and a phone, this would be a noticeable nice upgrade. But range will be about the same. Hope that helps. Happy droning!
