WHAT THE HECK IS A HIPSTER.
I decided to try a hat other than the beat up baseball style hat I have worn for decades. While thinking about what style I wanted to try I suddenly thought of my dad. He has worn this style Kangol for as long as I can remember. I call it "the old man" hat. I decided since I'm old now and this style is good enough for my dad it is good enough for me. I have mixed feelings over this hat. When I it arrived I put it on and asked my teenage daughter and wife what they thought, their replies are what gave me the mixed feelings. My wife said "you look like an old man", I can live with that, I am an old man and I like the hat. My teenage daughter said "you look like a hipster".....WHAT THE HECK IS A HIPSTER. She filled me in about hipsters and apparently the "old man" hat is a fad at the moment. So do I wear the hat and have the kids laugh at me because they think I'm trying to look young and hip? I just wanted something different to cover my head and keep the sun out of my eyes. This hat is VERY comfortable and I don't mind looking like my dad in the least. So those dang hipsters need to keep their comments to themselves.

Looks sharp, durable, great all-weather hat.
These are excellent hats. I wound up buying a second one, since I wear the first I purchased at work; I work in a hot environment and have to wear a hat, and these breathe perfectly and don't get sweaty or really pick up smells badly over time. The first one I bought suffered an unfortunate incident with a cat, and thinking it was ruined I ran it through the washing machine just to have a small chance of saving it...and it came out perfectly clean, still in shape, and was good as new.They're well constructed, they look sharp, and they hold up to accidental mistreatment and daily use just fine. I had an older wool 504 that I quit wearing because the band wore out and it wouldn't keep shape well, but these ventairs seem to be much more sturdy and reliable than my older 504 was. I'm really happy with it, to the point that despite having two already I might order a couple more in different colors. Just a great year-round hat that looks good with almost anything.

Kangol Men Tropic 504 Ventair review
I have other Kangol hats, but they are a little too warm for summer time use. This Kangol Tropic 504 Ventair hat is perfect for the hotter months. It fits exactly the way I like, it feels secure on my head without too much pressure. It also breathes making my head feel cooler, yet still protected from the sun. I'll be buying more of these in different colors and highly recommend it.

I have several of these. I find that they are super comfortable, especially during warm weather. Really great in my convertible as they keep sun out of my eyes when the top is down without blowing off my head. Just keep in mind they run a little large - I usually have problems finding even X-large caps large enough for my oversize head but this one is a little too large and threatens to blow off in the car. I have a large one which is perfect. They do have an elastic headband which helps them accommodate somewhat different head sizes within each size category.

Perfect fit
Fits just right. Make sure to check and follow the size guide/chart. Love the style of this particular kangol flat cap, always wanted one. Light knit and breathable. Ok to wear for all types of weather.

Nice Golf Hat
Haven't worn it yet , wanting t/b sure I ordered the right size. Great quality....very comfortable....color is excellent...nice job.

Runs a 1/2 inch larger. If you like it snug go smaller, if you have a helmet head go larger

Coolness and style, what more do you want
These are lovely hats/ caps/ bunnets (take your pick).Good enough for Mr Jackson then good enough for us. Though hard to look as cool.They are very airy, much more comfortable than wearing a constricting baseball cap or other similar looking caps, while delivering shade and unlike a baseball cap, also delivering great looks.I wear these in hot sunny climes (35-40C +) for practical as well as style reasons.I’ve got a couple of other colours for different times of the year. Doesn’t suit everyone, my son looks absolutely daft in one, through he is used to wearing caps and hats.Be careful, price varies massively for no obvious reason, shop around.

Wish I'd gone to a store
Whilst I would not go as far as to say this is a fake product at this point, I feel the quality and material is not the same as other Kangol products I have bought and seen in the UK.I have experienced this a bit over the last few years - I think it is down to products from different regions where standards differ being sold online and in different regions.It is light and looks like it will keep the sun off for a few seasons but a bit disapointing as a fair Kangol fan.

Great for the sun.
This was my second cap of this model, colour and size. I had lost the first. It is light, well ventilated and very comfortable. 0f course you hve to be. Felt prettyThis is my second cap of this model, size and colour. Gosh, I’m boring. I lost the first. Of course, you have to be a flat cap person. If you’re not, it could convert you. But don’t be like me nd leave it in the taxi. Anyway the cap is great for the summer. Thoroughly recommend.

Ok cap made from granny's shopping bag!
Bought this as I wanted a light weight hat I could wear for work as I'm getting fed up with baseball caps. This was ok but I wasn't wowed by it, not at that price anyway. The elasticated head band takes a bit of getting used to and the material is a bit weird. If feels a bit hard and is a bit like the material they use to make those flexible mesh shopping bags that grannies always seem to have. Maybe it would soften a bit after a while.Couldn't make my mind up about it so I sent it back in the end although I may order one again for my holidays later in the year!

Check the code/style
The cap is wider than my previous two that I ordered. On checking the label I see there is a difference in code. In the past I have ordered tropic 507 ventair/medium - which is a perfect size and fit. However, not realising there was a choice (it was not specified) - I ordered tropic 504 ventair/medium. The style is wider ear to ear but unfortunately I had already cut the tag off. My two previous caps are perfect and I would recommend Kangol
