Assurant 5-Year TV Protection Plan ($1000-$1249.99)

The tv repair was done properly; however, from my first request for service to completion, it took a full month. It took two weeks to do the diagnostic on the tv and then two more weeks for repair to be made. The problem it seems is that the repair company will come into Manhattan only on the weekends, so it took delayed the process.

My Samsung TV started dimming in various preset modes. Technician said everything was fine based on appearance of embedded image in tv settings. Set has been viewed by many people, all of whom agree with my assessment that picture dims. In standard setting it dims as you watch until you can no longer watch the tv. In my case, the only preset view that I can watch is "natural" which appears to be fine. Tech expressed to me that Assurant is "tough" and I believe was intimidated by the prospect of certifying my claim. I will follow up again soon. I paid for the insurance, and now that I have a problem, it appears I can't get it fixed. I do not recommend purchasing this policy. The technology changes so rapidly that by the time something goes wrong, you can buy the set you have for almost nothing. I originally paid almost $1100 when 4k was new. You can buy my set now for $250!

I had purchased a 5-Year warranty for my Smart TV. The TV screen died more than 4 years after purchase. The process for filing claim was very simple, very fast and very fair. The entire cost of the TV was reimbursed, no questions asked!Assurant's coverage was beyond my expectations.

Ok, so they always upsale the electronics with extended warranty plans. Because of the logistics and size of this item I opted to buy it. But where is the "paperwork"? I do not know how to rate something that I cannot tangibly evaluate. And really, you cannot rate a warranty plan UNTIL you actually try to use it. So... 3 stars means "no opinion" to me.

When my 2013 70" Vizio died I found out that its factory warranty just expired. I also had Assurant warranty purchased so I called them with claim. They were polite and professional. Few days later Technician took my TV for repair but within next 2 days Assurant told me they will refund full price with tax because Vizio don't have 2013 panels for replacement anymore. So, this time I choose Assurant warranty again for my next new TV.

Just got the TV that this protection plan is for. Hope to not have to use it but bought it just in case. It seems like a good value for the price.

WARNING! WARNING!! WARNING!!! – Big Scam Warranty Service – DO NOT BUY.I bought a 5-Year TV Warranty Service form Assurant Solutions and now that the TV has a purple patch on the screen obstructing the pictures -- Assurant Solutions claimed that their Technician stated that there was nothing wrong with the TV and they will not pay to repair it (see screenshots). Claim basically denied after 2 weeks of back and forth. What a Rip Off – DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.Will update at a later date if issue is rectified accordingly…
