Overall great product in many ways such as quality, very durable my dad is rough on things not knowing his own strength in his current age. He has the tensity to pull on cords which is why we went through so many cheap versions of a product like this. He plays with the cord but can not pull it out of the product or the ear buds! Sound is great there is no cracking and voids. He actually comments about how well he can hear with this product compared to all the other ones he had. It is light weight which makes it nice and another reason it makes it more durable because with my dad he doesn't leave his hands off things and he always has to be messing with things. He is listening to every word everyone is trying to say now he can hear and he doesn't mess around with it at all. You might be a little on the fence about this price which who wouldn't be this day and age. I was and I am a review checker so I was trying to find an issue but only saw someone complaining about it being too loud. It can be if you don't adjust the volume which to me is a given but you might have to help the person using it out if they don't know how to adjust it. I am so glad that we took the chance and ordered this product! It came before it was supposed to be here and well packaged. I don't think you will be disappointed in this product if you order it. If we could rate sound it would be a 10. Awesome product!

I know that I need hearing aids; but, I have to hold off awhile (they cost as much as a decent used car). It is so hard to hear high-pitched women's voices, kids, TV, and to just understand the words being spoken. I put these in: Jeez! I don't need captions, and can get a full conversation. These are amplifiers, so "everything" is picked up (whir of the fan, the washing machine, neighbors, etc). Amazing.

So I didn't know what to expect from this device but all it does is amplify sound. In fact, it can blast your eardrums if you turn it up too high. And at that level it emits an ungodly squeal that I'm sure would damage your hearing. The problem with using it is that it amplifies all noise in the area so if you are trying to hear something when there's background noise, this is useless. The background noise gets amplified right along what you're trying to hear. If you're trying to listen to TV with someone else in the room and you have hearing issues this might be helpful.

I ordered this for my father who is 88 years young. He recently began having trouble hearing and after testing we realized he needed hearing assistance. Well the cost of traditional hearing aids cost 2k of better we just couldn’t afford that. Thanks to Amazon I was able to find something comparable at a extremely affordable price! A plus feature is these are wire connected so he has a smaller chance of losing them. He now hears everything and we are both happy campers. These are a most if you’re on a budget..

I tucked this into a fabric “caccoon” to try to minimize effect of shirt or cord touching the device, causing noise. It helps. Try it yourself before putting it on someone else. It has a surprising amount of interference. I have used it on my elderly mom, but not ideal. Still looking for one that better and as easy to put on.

The earphone cable is way to long. If I have the device in my shirt pocket then I have about 4 feet of cable dangling around. It is in my way so bad that it is very distracting. Also the earplugs don't work very well. I couldn't get them to stay in. They included 3 different sized but the cable was so heavy (dangling around) the it kept pulling the earplugs out.. The device was very sensitive and I could hear very well with it so I will give credit for that ... make the product perfect .... create ear-hook blue tooth earplugs.

When using the ear buds you need a snug fit to keep them from coming out and getting a loud feedback. I try to keep a lot of slack in the cord so they are not pull out from movement. This Mic/Amp it the best one I have used so far and I have tried several. This would be a five star except for the feedback squeel.

These are easy to use and understand right out of the box. I bought them for my 87 year Dad and it makes conversation much easier. He really likes the volume control on the unit. He has hearing aids, but doesn't like to wear them at home very much - this is a great substitute at home because it is easy to put on and the ear plugs are attached and don't get lost. He also used it while he was in the hospital so that he didn't lose his hearing aids. Great little device that allows the rest of us to use our inside voice!
