These are the insides of a pumpkin seed. They are very tasty raw or roasted. Very healthy. I purchased these for my groundhog! Good value. And an excellent brand

Pepitas are relatively high in protein. Since I’ve accidentally become vegetarian (I’m too lazy to cook meat? I’m too cheap? Idk, probably a bit of both), protein is extra important for me. Nuts and seeds are easy to add to oatmeal, so I started looking for a relatively nutrient dense nut or seed that I could get for a good price. Pepitas interested me, but were pretty pricy at nuts dot com, so I almost gave up, but decided to check amazon first. Good choice! These Pepitas are pretty cheap for a 4 lb bag that’ll last me two months as an oatmeal additive. They taste great and are certainly a good part of my morning now.

Just a tiny bit unfresh. Otherwise all great. I covered with a bit of vanilla in a recipe that doesn't call for vanilla.
