I've wanted a shoeshine box for a long time, but just never pulled the trigger. I've looked at used ones on eBay and Etsy, as well as new ones costing $300 or more that looked as though they could be in a museum. I finally decided on this one after a fair amount of noodling and research. I'm very pleased with it... the workmanship is really nice, everything fits together perfectly. At first I thought the chain on the inside might be a little short, but it does its job of keeping the lid from flying back and hurting the hinges, and yet the lid stays open even with the chain taut. I especially like the fact that the box is a little longer than most, and has the wooden divider... nice for keeping polish and brushes separate so it doesn't feel as though you have to paw through everything to find something... as in the old cardboard box I've been using for years. I see that one reviewer gave a poor review based on the hardware... I find the hardware to be quite substantial and it fits together perfectly... Nothing loose or substandard in my estimation, and I can be pretty picky about these things. Perhaps this one reviewer received one that had an issue. Mine was perfect in that regard. If you're shopping for a nice shoeshine box at a reasonable price for what you get, look no further. Mine's still sitting on the chair in my bedroom because I'm not ready to put it in the bottom of the closet yet! ;-)

The product is awesome . The craftsmanship is amazing. It’s big enough to hold a good amount of your cleaning supplies inside. As you can see it also has the shoe holder on top so your able to clean your shoe there. Definitely worth every dollar.

Very nice box with good amount of usable storage and removable divider, but for the money I wish the foot rest had a heal block and box had higher end hardware. I agree with others that this is a well made box with good looks and I'm happy with my purchase. Just not sure it is worth the price. Even though oiled, beech wood is naturally absorbent so if you have liquids I would put those in a plastic bag to be safe. I do like the space as this is larger than others. I'm storing 11 cans of polish in the small compartment including two large cans of saddle soap (area is just big enough for the larger cans). In the large compartment I have three standard brushes, suede brush, two small applicator brushes, bottle of leather conditioner, various other shoe products and several cloths.

The shoebox was perfect. Alignments, lid movement, latch function, and overall craftsmanship were flawless. The size was adequate to contain a kit for four different shoe types.

This is a great little box, although a little pricey. It’s nice to keep all of my shoe care Supplies in one nice box.

This Shoe Cleaning Box is very, very well-made.I justified buying it because it appeared to be made well, and I thought it would last, Its made of hardwood, expertly joined and finished, and it is thoughtfully designed with separate compartments for brushes and polishes. Highly recommended.

Was concerned that it might be damaged from shipping no problems received in good shape. Love the build quality solid and clean, holds all the tools for shinning my boots and shoes. Recommend for those that want something unique and old fashioned. My dad had one he had brought back from Germany in the 50's

Habe die Box für die Aufbewahrung von Schuhputzsachen gekauft. Recht gute Verarbeitung, sieht gut aus und erfüllt seinen Zweck. Lediglich der Griff in Schuhform ist etwas zu groß geraten, nix für kleine Hände.
