This does the job. Is it perfect? No. Could any book holder that you set across your lap while you sit in a chair and read be perfect? I don't see how. You can adjust the height and set it up with the legs facing two different ways. And then, separetly, you can adjust the angle of the book. The clips that hold the book (although somewhat delicate) are versatile enough and move so it will work on any size book.On a big thick book that I was starting, I clipped the left side tightly but the right (fat) side I just clipped part of the book, enough to hold it up because I wanted to flip the pages as I read easily without them being clipped down. The book stayed up just fine and the page stayed put well.There are little numbers on the buttons you push to adjust the heights so you can get both sides perfectly aligned. Is is super strong? No but strong enough to hold BIG books. Is it "sorta flimsy" as some reviews wrote? I suppose. The legs appear to be aluminum, not steel (lol). But do you need steel to hold a book? I set this over my lap while I sit in a chair and read. It works. Works well. It is light weight, easy to adjust, easy to move off your lap when you're done reading.I like it and find it great for helping me read comfortably and keeping my hands free from holding the book.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a little difficult to adjust it to the height and angle you want. If you will be using it in the same place all the time, it won't be a problem. I use it in different rooms etc., so I have to keep readjusting it. It takes a little practice, but I love it.

I had bought this to help me read books. I am recovering from an hand injury and been sad that reading books have been a challenge. I found this and was so excited to get this.Positive: love how you can change the height and way it sits. Also love how it is lightweight and not that heavy at all.Negative: does not hold the book to wall. Very hard to move the clips that holds the pages for you. Is not that wide. Very hard to have it sit comfortably or lay with it. Need to have it rest on you. The other thing is keeps tipping over nonstop. I have adjusted it many times and no matter what it keeps tipping over.

I gave this as a gift and it was easy to setup and use. It has worked well for hardback books.

I really like this device. No more tired neck and back muscles from tilting my neck down to read my iPad. No more hand and arm fatigue from holding the iPad either. Fits besides my legs on my chair into a comfortable viewing angle.Would like it to be about three inches wider though and would like the outside legs to be 3-4 Inches longer to better support heavier books.If they could use less tension on the adjustment buttons it would make adjustments to both sides at the same time easier.With that said, I’d buy it again as is.

Shipped very quickly. Easy to use but would be better if the quality was higher. I can see the parts breaking if you lean on it accidentally

The book stand is well made and easy to set up. It can be used in your lap or on a table to hold your book or your tablet computer to make reading easy.

Good weight and dize

Shipping label covered instructions on the back. It was difficult at first to adjust the legs. The arrow on the button is difficult to see. Otherwise, the stand is durable and light. It will support a la top and a heavy weight book.

It's perfect when I want to look at my cell. But it is not robust enough to right on it or to hild pages of book that is not a pocket book. Don't expect too much and it will be perfect.
