je reviens sur mon 1er commentaire, où je le décrivais très ' standard ' , mais après pas mal d’utilisations , ce petit ampli c’est revelé très sympa , utilisé pour un casque AKG , le son a enfin pris toutes ses dimensions..

Connecté sur mon PC de bureau via l'excellent logiciel de musique "Audirvana" avec un casque Focal Clear. Fiio, spécialiste des DAP sait aussi faire des amplis casque et il vous sera difficile de trouver mieux dans cette gamme de prix. La connectique est assez complète mais en filaire. çà ne gêne en rien sur un bureau de travail vu la proximité du PC et la taille réduite de l'objet. Il lit à peu près tous les types de fichiers et s'en sort plutôt bien. La qualité est au rendez-vous sur toute la bande passante et l'ampli mérite un casque digne de ce nom. Seul bémol : 4 étoiles seulement car le câble USB fourni est du niveau d'un câble d'imprimante..... Avec un câble USB audiophile même de début ou moyenne gamme ( type Audioquest ou Wireworld par exemple dans les 50/60 euros ) vous percevrez immédiatement le changement dans tous les registres, la scène sonore s'ouvrira, les basses seront propres et nettes et les aigus ne seront plus agressifs. Indispensable de changer la connexion USB avant d'avoir un jugement sur les qualités musicales de l'objet.

Full disclosure, I ended up returning this unit because I ended up upgrading to the K9 Pro. So if I returned it, why am I still giving it a rave review? Because, for the money, this is a fantastic DAC/Amp. The amp side provides plenty of power to your headphones. The layout of the unit is very straight forward, simple, yet large potentiometer that controls the power and volume. Flip switches for the gain and the source select and then the headphone input. Very easy to use and a lightweight amp that performs very well. I used this amp to drive Audeze LCD-GX and while that is a pretty efficient headphone, this amp provided lots and lots of amplification. I used the amp in low gain and it still got quite loud with headroom to spare. So there are a few reasons I ended up upgrading to the K9 Pro and returning this model. One, I wanted bluetooth capability; being able to stream music from my phone was something I really wanted. Another was I wanted to be able to use balanced cables in my system. Additionally, I was looking for a solution that would help reduce jitter and pops and noise while I was using the optical SPDIF input. My television is notorious for having all of those things, so I tried many, many solutions, in order to mitigate that, including SPDIF filters, digital reclockers, different cables, HDMI extractors, etc, and what I landed on was the Fiio K9 Pro. So this is not a knock on the K5 Pro because this is a $200 DAC/Amp. Rather versus the K9 Pro which is over 3x the price, at $700, this review is a reason for me to explain, if I didn't want/need any or all of those things, the K5 Pro would absolutely still be in my system because sound quality-wise and usability-wise the K5 Pro is a fantastic value. If you are looking for a high quality sounding DAC/Amp at a great value, this Fiio unit really should be one you should try.

Por 240€ esto no vale la pena de ninguna de las maneras, tengo varios dacs y amps más baratos de la competencia y todos suenan mejor. Mi opinión es parecida a otros en cuanto al fiio k5 pro y esta versión ESS, pagas por las conexiones que tiene y su versatilidad gracias a ellas, pero no por el sonido, que es una decepción enorme debido a los agudos tan exagerados que tiene, si tienes auriculares brillantes, sibilantes o con unos agudos aunque sean un poco fuertes este fiio k5 pro ess te destrozará los oídos, no es un sonido nada agradable. Test hecho con AKG K361, Sennheiser HD598 y Hifiman he400se. Comparado con una variedad de dac amps hechos por LG, xiaomi y asus.

Unlocks your headphones' true potential and can easily power most open-back headphones without any issue. I have mine specifically hooked up to my amplifier, which I use in conjunction with my PC. The plethora of connectivity options means I have my PC hooked up to the DAC using SPDIF to cut out all forms of electrical interference. The DAC is then connected to my amp using RCA; if I need to use my headphones then I simply plug them directly into the DAC; this setup works incredibly well and I now have absolutely no background noise :) The USB connection also works super well however; since my PC generates so much electrical noise, then this setup isn't feasible for me. This isn't the case on all PCs; my laptop and work PC do not have too much crosstalk when connected to an electrically conductive connection such as USB or RCA, so this will work for people who aren't sensitive to interference in their listening experience. If you have a super electrically noisy PC such as mine; using SPDIF is a must and to be honest the sound quality is the exact same as the USB connection, so you're not losing anything other than that pesky electrical noise. Overall I highly recommend the Fiio K5 Pro; it's an incredibly well-made DAC with many connectivity options which make it as versatile as it is powerful and clean sounding.
