I've used the product once so far on recently installed 3/4" oak dark stained flooring which has some poor areas from the factory, other poor areas such as knots, holes, and other imperfections were already factory repaired. I believe the boards I am working on should have been discarded. I first drilled/ground out the bad areas with a Dremel tool creating a sort of pit or valley then mixed up a small quantity of the resin and hardener using a visual calibration of 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener, I added a small amount of TransTint dye to darken the epoxy to match the factory board repairs, the total volume I prepared was around a tablespoon. The mix is quite thin so it will seep deep into cracks which was some of what I wanted but I found once the epoxy begins to setup it can still be easily worked with making it nice to fill other areas requiring careful manipulation of placement such as filling long ground out irregular cracks and chips in the wood. While the epoxy is drying bubbles will come to the surface, a heat gun worked nicely to pop the bubbles. Once dried the epoxy can be sanded or ground down as necessary, then I used a closely matching wood stain and slightly dyed it to match the surrounding area, it looks good and hopefully I can use this to repair other imperfections of the flooring so I won't need to replace any of the boards. The epoxy system includes a set of pumps but instead I planned on using a small kitchen scale to measure the resin and hardener weight/weight into small paper cups but realized the volume I required to measure in grams would be way more than I needed, the epoxy can be measured by pumps, weight, or volume. I found the name of this epoxy system on a youtube video which also shows it being used and tips on its use. I looked locally for these products but not to be found so I was pleased to see Amazon carries both the epoxy and dye. I think without dye the epoxy would harden to be clear.

I’ve been using West Systems in high end custom guitar building since the early 90’s. Simply stated the best epoxy glue I have ever use and refer it to many. Good enough to build boats I would say awesome building guitars too. Excellent for headstock break repairs as well as I learned about this glue while employed at The Gibson Custom Shop. Good enough for Gibson good enough for me. Fast hardener for winter, slow for summer.

This epoxy worked well to repair a delamination on mu Travel trailer wall. The job was somewhat challenging but very doable for someone with mechanical abilities. My delamination was about 2'8" wide by 6' high. I did remove the water heater to gain the best access and worked in no more than 2'x2' sections. The wall is now solid and saved myself a lot of money. I used about 1/2 to 2/3 of the gallon of epoxy for my repair.

Love West System Products and reccomend them highly. Not so thrilled with Amazon shipping. First box arrived damaged and leaking. Second box wasn't damaged, but the inner box, clearly labled with "this side up arrows" was upside down in the Amazon box 🤦♂️, which had no arrows or markings.on it anyway.

I've used various Resin + fiberglass setups in the past but was recommended West Systems on LotusTalk. I broke one of the tabs off on the rear clamshell and needed to get it back in shape, so I figured I'd give this a try. I also purchased the 404 filler which turned out to be key as this creates a structural bond in a smaller space, without having to resort to using lots of fiber mat or fiberglass tape. The pumps really helped out the measuring parts that I always had problems with older resin setups. I put enough filler in to make it have the consistency of "cake frosting" (they say peanut butter, but it never got that stiff for me), positioned a bit of the old broken fiberglass tab, and positioned it properly. I ran some 1" tape in there and waited, then reshaped with a dremel, then drilled the hole back out. Stronger than the other side by far now! I've used it for various other front clam fill and it's pretty easy to use, and the drying time at least in the summer is easy. If you have an Elise, this is the stuff to get.
