I needed a coat rack to put coats, hats and umbrellas on it. It fitted very well with my decor and I am very pleased with how it looks and functions. It even came with a spirit leveller so it could be put up straight, I thought that was a good idea. I would recommend this product and supplier to my friends and to anyone who would be interested in this product.

I needed a coat rack, but so many of them look cheap and the reviews were mixed. Absent seeing and feeling a product in person, I rely on the reviews. I took a chance on this rack, and I am pleased. I liked the idea of the mounting brackets on this since I could slide it on and off the wall (I plan on painting in a year or so). I was worried it would be a bit loose since it will be technically hanging on the wall. I envisioned the rack coming off when pulling off a jacket, but I got the screws at just the right distance and the rack is very secure. I saw another review where someone put a couple screws through this rack to secure it to the wall, but I don't think I will need to do the same. I used somewhat smaller screws and anchors than the ones that came with this rack. I also don't like the screws that come with products these days since the metal seems too soft or brittle. The screws I used were quality steel and had a decent sized head with a flat inner side. This meant the inner portion of the screw would be flat against the metal hanging bracket on the rack. The screws that came with this rack we angled and I believed there would be less surface tension. I included a screenshot from the product page that shows the included screws (in silver) and a screw similar to what I used (in black). The rack came with a small level, but I didn't think it would be too helpful. I used a four foot level with markings for where the screws needed to be. Two marks on the wall and I was drilling moments later. As I mentioned above, I tightened the screws to the point that the rack needed to be pushed down into place. It doesn't move at all. Now, the quality of the product. The solid wood had no splits or defects, but is made of two pieces of wood because a seam is visible. My only concern is that one day it will crack along the seam. One solid piece would be better, but obviously cost more. The wood is decently thick at close to an inch (maybe with a sixteenth of an inch). The metal hanging hooks are a wire vs cast iron seen on many other racks. They seem very sturdy with little flex. They will flex a bit if I pull on them, but even a heavy jacket should not be an issue. I saw that some racks required the hooks to be installed by the buyer, but this rack came full assembled. I bought the black (not blackwashed) and the paint is thick with no bare or thin spots. The rack is rustic, so there are small imperfections in the wood or texture, which is what I wanted. I don't want something perfectly smooth and glossy. I can be a bit picky, but I am very happy with this coat rack. We no longer throw our jackets over the nearby stair rail.

Joli design mais deux longues fissures dans le bois qui mettent en doute la solidité du produit. La finition peinture whitewash sur le rebords du dessus laisse à désirer. Je l’ai renvoyé, dommage.
