MAYTEX Twist and Shout Smart Rods No Drill Tension 7/8" Window Curtain Drapery Rod, Brushed Nickel, 48-84 inch

I bought 3 of these since I have brick/cement walls (& have to have my man drill holes into the walls just to put up curtains) so when I saw these I still needed 3 more windows covered & these worked perfectly!! They have been up for over a year now & still have not fallen! One in the kitchen has a semi heavy/thick/blackout curtain on it & the 2 in my bedroom have the long sheer curtains on them but even my puppy has pulled lightly on the sheer ones & they all have stayed strong & not fallen! Would definitely buy more if we ever need more!! Also I thought it was a great idea for people that don’t want to damage their walls since there isn’t any holes left once taken down!

We've used this style rod in dorms and apartments where you can't use nails or screws. Works well and fits a variety of windows and looks much more like a real window curtain rod than a tension rod. This can even be used in windows that already have mini-blinds installed.It does take a little skill to get it to size and tighten correctly. For that reason, make sure you're getting one that's brand new in the original packaging. If you size it wrong, or try to force it, it could break the (internal mechanisms) of the rod, and you don't want one that someone else has broken. So spend the extra bucks to make sure you get a new one.

Good product. This curtain rod is sturdy and easy to install also it is adjustable.If you live in a rented apartment and don't want to drill for window curtains this is the best product to buy. It can hold enough weight. I am writing this review after using this road for almost 3 months now. At it works for me as expected.

This product is mostly plastic, but the brackets are metal. That being said it's holding up "blackout" curtains without an issue and I had very little trouble installing it by myself, on a swivel chair, though I did accidentally pull off the round part on the right end. It pops back on without issue, but now it won't unscrew properly to add/remove curtains, though I did manage to work around that fairly easily. If you're looking for a high quality product this is not it, but if you're looking for a simple way to put up curtains in a rental with pre-installed blinds, this is perfect.As a side note, I noticed that Target sells a product that looks identical, under the Room Essentials brand. Even the instruction stickers are the same. And there was nothing in the packaging to confirm that this is a Maytex brand product. So I have to wonder...

I have a concrete wall to contend with a mini-blinds that leak a substantial amount of sunlight in my bedroom on a 72-inch wide window.I encountered a great deal of difficulty installing this thing. I suspect that it would be much easier with a smaller window. The manufacturer claims that this is good up to 84 inches. Not a chance.This is not especially sturdy or solid. It does work as intended but it requires considerable effort to get it tight enough (my first attempt came down within two minutes). You cannot see it in the photo but I used a Velcro adhesive pair on the right side which creates more tension and made it much easier to install.
