OBD Detector Breakout Box CAN Data Signal Tool [Energy Class A+++]

Worked well although one of the LCD number display units is quite dim but useable except in direct sun light. Small lights let you know which channels are communicating. For the price good value.

Very useful

The first time I tried to use this the readings I was getting seemed a bit strange. After further investigation I found that the breakout box had been wired incorrectly and even had pins 6 and 14 bridged together in the box.I'm currently awaiting a refund after returning the item.

A handy tool for when the communication lines aren’t matching up, or, you wish to see which protocol somethings using when diagnostics are having communication troubles.mainly the idea with this unit being you can use a banana lead to link across the plugs on the front to connect up.Compatible with all the adapter plugs I’ve used it with, volvo, scania/Daf, Cummins, mainly I was trying the box out.I purchased it to see why my VCad software wouldn’t work through a 16 pin OBD connector on a Volvo coach that had only a 16 pin connection, while it’s sister bus had the standard Volvo 8 pin connection …. and the 16 pin ( on which the 16 pin socket is for knorr Bremse) it is a safe and easy way to determine what’s going on.Although very happy with the box I would possible look at buying something better quality if I was using it daily, also you If needed, you can get them where it tells you which protocol you’re looking at, K Line, L Line and so on,I noticed a crack round a banana lead socket on mine ( plastic a bit on the cheap side)On the whole, not a bad little unit that’s worth its weight in gold when you need to see what’s going on….. just don’t drop it on to a hard surface
