Very simple instructions and easy to use.
Worked perfectly for shortening the camera ethernet cables on my surveillance system. No more bundles of excess cable in the box anymore. Very easy to use with the pass thru feature, u can strip the main insulation long so u can have excess individual wires to maneuver them into the connector. The crimps were good, cut off was flush, i had no issues with connectivity. Didnt use the tester as i already have a Fluke of my own. The crimper locking feature allows for east storage. Very easy to use. If your eyesight is not all that great, i suggest the use of a magnifying apparatus.

Budget Kit Questionable Connectors
This was my first time assembling RJ45 connectors. My first few crimps were not good but by the 3rd I got the hang of it. I think either the crimper or the connectors are faulty. When making the initial crimp, the wires on the ends seemed to not always pierce, so I've deducted a star for that. The stripping works well on removing the shield and it cuts well. Just in case you don't know, the yellow tool can be used to punch down wires in keystone connectors. If you are wiring/fixing ethernet at home it would be a good idea to pickup some keystone connectors. The cable tester works fine, but you can tell it's cheap. The included "collars" worked fine for slipping over the cable. The kit is fine for small projects, but if I were crimping more than 15 connectors, I would invest in better crimpers and connectors.

Gotta say, for the price I'm impressed. I bought this quite some time ago to do ethernet cabling then forgot about it and didn't work on the cabling until this weekend. I dug this out thinking I was going to regret not being able to send it back. To my surprise this is one of the better kits I've ever used. The crimper is very well thought out and well made. It even has the wire color coding on it. I've probably terminated a few thousand ethernet pulls in the past 30 years and TBH this was the nicest kit I've used (including some very expensive mil-spec crimpers). The tester is very basic, and I didn't think it would work, but I crimped one backwards and bent the pins (and didn't notice when I was doing it) and the tester let me know that there was a short. Pretty cool. Probably the only negative is that the instructions are a little bit thin. If you know what you're doing it shouldn't take long to figure this out. The instructions for the tester were basically "plug in the cable". It took a bit to figure out that the switch on the tester was "Off", "Slow" and "Regular". The "S" setting just makes the lights go slower so you can see exactly what is wrong. The tester also does RJ11 if you need to test that. I have no idea if the crimper supports those or not, I don't think it does. It doesn't come with anything else that supports RJ11. Anyway, the result is that I have a bunch of Cat6 ethernet cables that are working great at gigabit speeds. Somehow it doesn't make me any better at Fornite though. So sad.

Life = Changed | I'll never go back to regular RJ45 connectors!
Great quality and functionality. The tools work great and the tester is PoE so you only need a battery on one end. Great for if you don't have to "find" a wire. Super great kit and I highly recommend it.

Satisfied so far
Products including crimp tool, connectors, and mini wire strippers work great. As a first-time user I was able to cut custom cable lengths for 5 ethernet cables. As you can see, custom-length cables are much tidier than bundling up excess. I figure if I get 20 purposed cables out of this tool before it breaks, anything else is just savings. If I love it but it breaks early, I may buy a more expensive one, but for the price you can't go wrong. Go for it.

Not Built for Volume Use — Wire Jams Often, Blade Dulls Fast, Confusing to Use
I really wanted this to be a reliable crimping tool, but it’s not practical for more than very basic, occasional use. • Hard to tell which way is up: One of the first things I noticed is how confusing the orientation is. There’s no clear marking or intuitive design to tell you which end is up or down. I found myself second-guessing how to insert the connectors more than I should’ve. • Wire scraps jam the tool constantly: Small pieces of insulation or wire get caught frequently, which interrupts workflow and gets really annoying during batch terminations. • No guidance on blade replacement: The internal blade dulls pretty quickly, and there’s absolutely no instruction or apparent method to replace it. Once it starts cutting poorly, you’re out of luck. • Not scalable: After about a dozen terminations, it was obvious this tool isn’t built for repeat or professional use. It’s tiring to use and inconsistent in results. Other reviewers have mentioned similar issues — poor wire cuts, wire ends bending instead of being trimmed, and a lack of support for parts. I experienced all of that. Bottom line: For light, one-off home use, this might get the job done. But if you’re working on multiple drops or anything professional, look elsewhere.
