GenieGK-BX Intellicode Wireless Keypad 37224R

I have a Genie garage door opener that had the correct wireless keypad that I purchased separately from the garage door installers. After 5 years of use and careful change of batteries the original unit was acting up and would only open the door after ten attempts or so. So I bought another new GK-BX wireless keypad to replace the 5 year old unit. New one works perfectly every time. Overall, not happy with the poor quality control these days.

I bought this to replace the original that was installed with my door opener about 7 years ago. It got only very light usage, yet it stopped working dependably a couple of years ago. It often took 5+ tries to get the door to open, which frustrated my grandkids. Finally I decided there was no better option than to try a new one. It's only been used a handful of times so far, but seems to work much better than the original. I'll downgrade the review if this one craps out like the first one. Overall, I'd never buy Genie again. The Chamberlain openers work better and the keypads are vastly superior.

What should have been an easy install proved to be otherwise. In attempting to program this product, I lost all capability to enter my garage (car, indoor key pad, etc). Something happened when I tried to re-program the door & key pad -- bottom line, I had to order as new garage door opener, key pad etc. The motto of this story is order and have it installed by an expert. This was an expensive lesson for me ($550!)

We purchased a home with an existing garage door opener. Turns out they Swapped out the opener, but never replaced the keypad to match so we had a one that wasn’t compatible. This replacement works great with genie (red Smart light) and was easy to install. Great instructions were included.

I have a "legacy" opener and was concerned that this keypad would not be able to communicate with it. So happy to see it did with zero problems. very simple to install! thanks!

This is the second purchase for the Genie Wireless keypad for garage. The old one lasted 6 years. It was exposed to full sun and sometimes rain in FL. I would purchase again. 😎You can find bolts screws at a Hardware store for install if necessary for cement/stucco. Very easy install.

Unit is easy to install - and manufacturer /producer (I.e. Genie) provides sufficient instruction and go beyond by provide on line video. Very customer friendly oriented and straightforward to business. Did not have to deal with tech support but focus at Genie provide in-advance clear and to the point videos which probably saved them much cost on dealing with incoming calls into call center and elevated customer satisfaction. So not only great product, great service. Thanks

It was really easy to program with my Genie Intellicode opener. Two screws and it was mounted. Simple to use. My wife loves it for when we are working in the yard and need to get into the garage for something. Don't know why I waited so long to buy this, its great.
