Easy to use, great crunch and very tasty!
I bought these to try out in salads and stir fry - they proved to be a real eye-opener. Easy to use and a really quick way of adding extra nutrients to meals. My daughters are vegetarian so this is a perfect way of adding a little extra something to dishes, the crunch is lovely and the flavour light and delicious. Easy to store and something to have on hand.

Yuk,waste of my time cooking this
I make my own sprouted beans which are delicious so I thought I'd give these ago. Sadly a true waste of time after cooking for nearly 30 minutes I decided after spitting out a a few I thought the would be best chucked out as I did not know anyone who needed gravel. What a awful😖 waste of my money delivery packaging . PLEASE 🙏 DO NOT WASTE your money, sprout your own In a glass jar all bought on amazon.u

Like crunchy couscous
These are something a little different to add to a meal, but they bring more texture than flavour- and my kids have flat refused to eat them.Preparation is easy enough, essentially just rehydrating them and warming them up. They retain a fairly firm and slightly crunchy texture even when boiled for longer than the stated time, it takes a long time for them to soften up, but we decided we preferred them a little crunchy anyway- once they go soft, they rapidly become a bit mushy. In the product photo, through the window many of the sprouts can be seen with reasonably long stems on them. This isn’t what the bag we received contained. In ours, there are very few long stemmed cress-like sprouts. Almost all of the seeds had very tiny sprouts popping out of them, but they were essentially little white-green blobs. As a result, they ends up working less like bean sprouts and more like a kind of semi-crunchy couscous. And like couscous, there’s very little flavour, unless you inject some from elsewhere using a salty sauce or seasoning. The packaging is all very reasonable, reminding me of microwave rice packs but resealable. The resealing is strong and airtight, better than some other packs I’ve used. The nutrition facts are based on there being five servings in a pack, which is the opposite trick to the one cereal manufacturers pull where they understate the size of a serving to make the sugar values look less bad. I’d suggest you’d get more than five servings out of this, if you’re only using it as a green part of a regular meal, rather than as a standalone dish (which it isn’t tasty enough for). But despite that, at almost seven pounds for a fairly small bag, there are cheaper ways to get your protein, even if they’re less efficient per bite, as the protein values here are quite good.Three stars does seem just a little harsh. If I could give these three-and-a-half stars, I would.

Dehydrated sprouts - a mealtime revelation!
Of all the foods I would not have expected to cope with the process of dehydration and rehydration, bean sprouts would have to be right up there. In fact, I ordered this item mostly out of sheer scepticism. But I am now eating my words - along with a tasty bean sprout and spinach curry - because these actually work really well. £6.75 (at time of review) gets you a 250g bag of dehydrated mung bean sprouts which will rehydrate to 750g worth. The process is simple: 50g sprouts + 200ml boiling water, boil for 5-10 minutes until they are done to your liking and them add to salads, sandwiches - whatever takes your fancy. They are chewy and nutty and tasty, have loads of healthy protein and vitamins, and you almost wouldn’t know they’d been dehydrated once they have been prepared. These are a great item to have in your store cupboard and a perfect base for winter salads, very easy to prepare, tasty and healthy too.

Mung bean sprouts - as many as you want, when you want them...
This is something very different. I used to grow mung beans and other similar vegetable sprouts in two dedicated seed sprouters. But I got out of the habit - in no small part because sometimes I found I'd too many sprouted seeds that I didn't want to use or I'd not got any started when I needed some. When you buy sprouted seeds from the supermarket they often come in large packs and I don't necessarily want to use the lot. So if I could've dreamed up a perfect product, it would have been these Nihkan Mung Bean Sprouts. In the resealable pouch you get 250g of dehydrated mung bean sprouts. Unlike other mung bean sprouts, with these you can rehydrate exactly the amount you need - no big pack to try to eat or plentiful harvest from your sprouters. All you do is add 200ml of water for every 50ml of sprouts and boil for 5-10 minutes depending on how crunchy you like them. I went for 7 minutes - and found they added great texture to my sandwich.A product of India, these are best before 12 months from date of manufacture, which in the case of the pack I received is July 2022 so my pack's best before July 2023. These mung bean sprouts are nutritious, gluten-free, vegan and protein packed. The 250g pack rehydrates to 750mg and they appear to be good value and versatile at £6.75 at time of writing.

Good security seal - convenient
☑️ As described and as advertised noting that the sprouts are slightly shorter than we would have them if we’d sprouted and harvested ourselves.☑️ Excellent tamper evident packaging. Have the ripple cut off the top to open. Full marks here.☑️ Clever idea I’m very convenient and easy to use.☑️ Whilst these are easy to sprout yourself, these are much less effort and more convenient than growing your own.Quick and easy way to add crunch. Protein and a little something different into salads and other meals..These are expensive compared to buying and sprouted beans and sprouting yourself but not compared to buying the sprouts themselves which are or at least can be ridiculously expensive.
