Amdini AC100 violin is completely handcrafted with solid spruce top, maple back and sides. It is fitted with a maple fingerboard, pegs, and chin rest, and an alloy tailpiece with four integrated fine tuners. This violin includes a tuner, simple manual, lightweight hard case, bow, adjustable shoulder rest, rosin, and extra bridge & strings, making this package ideal for beginners. In order to make a sound from the violin, the bow needs rosin powder.Follow instruction to Tightening the Pegs:* Push the pegs inward as you tune the strings up to pitch. This ensures that the pegs hold tighter as the tension of the string goes up.* Use peg compound to help lock the pegs in place. You can also apply chalk (or rosin cake) onto the pegs where it is inserted into the peg box.How to choose violin sizesViolins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin. To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The table image lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.

better than expected
I bought this for a 4-year-old's first violin. The pegs slip and needed some peg drops, but the sound quality is better than expected. The bow is a junk bow, but it works for a toddler. Within one day a number of hairs were broken. It has light rosin, I just used my own dark rosin to prep his bow. He loves it and it was well worth the price. If they fixed the bow and maybe added a children's bow holding tool, then it would easily be a 5-star.The tuner works well and is easy to use as well. The case is all right and will work until he grows out of the violin. We went with the green but it is more of mint color, or sea foam, whatever you call the light green color.Take your time setting it up, use peg drops, and add your own microfiber cloth to wipe it down. Your child will love it.

Cheap junk
Frog screw on bow keeps falling out because the part on bow it screws into is completely stripped making it so I am unable to play the violin. String also came in a tangled mess & it does hold a tune as pegs are very loose and turn when strings are touched.

Nice
For being a first time user and just trying out I think this is totally fine. It is very light and it came with two resins for the read. And it took a little while to get that ready to play but once I did I was making some nice sounds. Now I kind of wish it came with like an intro book. But that's okay I'll just get one of those. Overall I do like the quality and for the cheap price it's a good one to at least start practicing on to see if it's even something that we want to keep doing
