My girls are 3 and 5, in preschool and pre-k. I'm always frustrated by regular colored pencils, as they roll off the table, and the leads are prone to breakage. Each of my girls carries a set of these pencils in their piano bag, along with a spiral drawing notebook. They draw in the car, or while waiting for lessons. They are not gentle with the pencils, and yet I've never seen a broken tip. They seem to be able to hold them well in their hands, and the drawings have nice dark color to them. I find these pencils to be expensive, but I'm a repeat buyer due to the quality.

The triangle shape, the short length, and the softer lead make these perfect for children just learning to manipulate a writing implement! The shape enables a more controlled grip, and the softer lead yields more intense colors with less pressure than an average colored pencil. As a preschool teacher with 25 years experience, I really wish I had found them sooner. (Do note that because of their triangular shape, they may not fit in a standard electric sharpener.)

Got these for two 3yo to color with at a birthday party and to send home as party favors. The other parent was impressed with them, and everyone liked the triangle grip. They are very colorful and write well with no breakage so far. The included sharpener works very well for these pencils. They are a little expensive compared to what you can get from Crayola, etc. but I would definitely buy them again for younger kids (my own and as gifts).

I work as a classroom monitor for children with special needs and these crayon pencils are perfect for the different personalities within the classroom. Some children have smaller hands and these are easier to hold, some children like peeling the paper off crayons and with these they cannot, some like to break or bite crayons in half and with these they cannot do that either. The colors a bright and vivid.

My grandson introduced me to these colored pencils. He is 4 and his little brother is 2. Both love the pencils. We like to color together and I find them very nice. I can press hard for nice dark colors and more lightly for shading.

The shape makes them easy to hold. The colors are great. They are smaller in length then I realized, however, they are a good size for little fingers to hold.

nice set of pencils for small hands, toddler likes them. would buy again, value for money. ease of use. thick for 2 year old girl.

I try to look at dimensions of items before I purchase them. I did not realize these teeny tiny itsy bitsy pencils were so small. They barely fit in my grandson's hands. Very disappointed because they should have been priced about 3 dollars less!
