A seriously powerful thrower that is also legitimately viable for self-defense.
Do you want to be able light up objects that are a quarter mile away from you? Do you want a way to make that creep that's been following you on your walk home leave you alone, without resorting to pepper spray or deadly force? Do you want both in one pocket-sized device that you can legally carry pretty much anywhere? Well, let me introduce you to the Sofirn IF22A! This flashlight is seriously powerful, very well-built, can charge your phone in a pinch, and can pack a serious punch in a self-defense scenario.Take a look at the picture I've attached to my review. That was taken at night at the longest straightaway in my neighborhood, and this thing lights up the full distance! So if you want to be able to light up stuff that's super far away, this flashlight is perfect for that. Build quality is also fantastic, I've had this thing for a number of months now and I've dropped it a handful of times and it just shrugged it off, and it's even been fully submerged underwater with no problems at all. This flashlight can also charge your phone from its USB-C port if you're in a pinch, which is convenient. However, one thing that I haven't seen many people mention that I think definitely should be is the fact that this thing is legitimately viable for self-defense. This flashlight's peak brightness is 2,100 lumens, but the peak intensity of the beam's hotspot is over 100,000 candela. That is FAR beyond blinding. In a self-defense situation, the candela (AKA the intensity) of the light is incredibly important, arguably more than the lumens. I own a few other high-output flashlights (Sofirn IF25A and Wurkkos TS10 v2 for those that are curious), and because I am an idiot, I decided to test each of them out on myself to see how disabling they would be when shined in the eyes of a potential bad guy. All of them were bright enough to be blinding and disorienting as long as they continued to be shined in the eyes, but this one left my vision noticeably impaired for a good 5 minutes after it was switched off. Having this thing shined in your eyes on max brightness (and ESPECIALLY on strobe mode) induces complete blindness, forces you to involuntarily close your eyes, disorients you, feels legitimately painful, and leaves your vision somewhat impaired for a little while even after it's switched off. That's not to say that this thing is the end-all be-all of self-defense (and tactical lights with one-click access to turbo can be preferable in some situations), but it is seriously valuable and can spare you the legal headache that using pepper spray or deadly force could potentially involve. If you're ever in a situation where someone is making you feel that you feel unsafe, shining this thing in their eyes can make them reconsider their actions. My singed retinas are proof of that. If you want to see for long distances in the dark, this thing is awesome for that too. If you want a daily-carry thrower flashlight, you should probably look elsewhere though because this thing is pretty bulky. I'd recommend checking out the Wurkkos TS11, Thrunite Catapult Mini v2, or Thrunite Catapult Mini Pro if you want something more pocketable.

My most used flashlight
I own way too many flashlights, but this is one of my favorites! The size, excellent throw, and 2 way usb charging make this one a winner! Great job Sofirn!

Great Light for the money!
I bought 2 of these. One for me and the other my business partner. I have a lot of expensive flashlights from Fenix, Acebeam, Surefire, Thrunite, etc and half of them were professionally modded so I know a little bit about quality flashlights. I watched a review for this light on YT and the reviewer gave it high marks so I decided I couldn't lose at $39 and I've been pleasantly surprised. This light is very close to the Acebeam L17 as far as performance and optics so when I compared them side by side very early this morning it was clear my Sofirn didn't have 2100 Lumens as rated because it wasn't quite as bright as my L17 at 1800. Throw on the Sofirn appears to be slightly less than the L17, but it's pretty close and impressive since it has a smaller optic. The beam is excellent despite some strange marks on the outside of the optic inside the head. It almost looks like streaks of grease from the o-ring ran down the sides and my business partners has it to. It doesn't seem to affect the beam, but it's not a good look from a quality point of view. The anodizing is very good and the clip is sturdy.I am not a fan of side switches, but the UI is good enough that it doesn't bother me too much and I much prefer the electronic rear switch on the L17. It's one of my favorite switches and it's completely silent and buttery smooth. For the money you won't find a better all around thrower and if the optics didn't have those streaks in it I would have given it 5 stars. After using this for a month I like it even more. I love the simple UI and small form factor and the 21700 is just icing on the cake. The threads are perfectly cut and extremely smooth. I would buy another one if they would offer a tail switch, but I keep the pocket clip lined up with the switch so it's easier to find. Side switches allow the light to be a little shorter but, I gladly take the additional half inch a tail switch would add.

A light saber
This is a well priced unique flashlight. It definitely throws a narrow bright beam of light. I shall purchase another.
