Beautiful Ink
I love using fountain pens. I just feel more grownup and/or fancy. I've been buying cheaper ink cartridges for my fountain pens but decided I wanted to see what other options are out there and how the quality differs.I very much love this color, it's black with subtitle green, very hard to tell at a distance that its not black. Very easy to fill my fountain pen and seems to be lasting me quite a while.I will say I have yet to complete an ink refill without ending up with ink on my hands. I know that's a hazard of this type of pen. But I wipe off the container after each fill but every time I open the lid, there's a new stain on my fingers. It does clean off fairly easy, the foaming soap at my work place doesn't really do a good job of cleaning the ink but the better hand soap i have at home seems to do a nice job of getting the ink out.I haven't had any issues with excessive/runny ink and it does seem to dry fairly quickly. I use a very fine tip for my pen so there's not a ton of ink used unless I'm just holding the pen on the paper. I'm definitely going to try some of their other colors next.

Study, spill-resistant bottle; flows well in most pens.
Beautiful medium blue color with hints of green; a shade or two darker, but not very much greener, than the Sky Blue option from the same company (which I also have and use). Flows equally well in fountain pens and on glass dip pens; on dip pens with metal nibs, I find the performance depends very much on the shape of the nib and whether there's a reservoir. I would consider this a relatively "liquid" ink - it flows easily in every pen I've tried, and that's often a struggle for me as I have hand pain that can make it awkward to apply the pressure needed with higher-viscosity inks. Great value for the money, would recommend. Ease of use:Nice-sized opening at bottle top, neither too wide nor awkwardly narrow; cap has a gasket for a secure fit. The bottle itself has a good "heft" to it, and is significantly wider at the base than at the top - very stable, which is a real plus if (like me) you are prone to knocking things over!!

Beautiful colors to use in Ink washes
These inks are beautiful! They have subtle and lovely color shifts depending on how many layers you use. I bought three inks and I'm so happy with them. Note: I am using them like watercolors on watercolor paper to add washes of color to my ink drawings.Bluish Grey: A lovely sky blue when it's a light wash that shifts to a dark grayish/purplish color when it is heavier. My personal favorite.Blackish Green: Looks a little closer to blue than green but becomes a dark desaturated gray-green tone when used heavily.Coral: Vibrant orange-red that separates into a delightful peach color with pink and yellow tones when used as a light wash.Lovely inks all around.

Nice color, but tends to smear for this lefthander
I recently decided to dip my toes into the world of fountain pens and, upon seeing the Hongdian ink as a "frequently purchased together" item decided to give it a go. Overall, I am pleased with the ink's appearance on the page. It truly is a bluish gray, though the extent of the gray seems to depend somewhat on the paper. On a basic yellow legal pad, I have found it favor the gray while on smoother paper, such as a receipt, the blue is more pronounced. Overall, the color looks nice.As a lefthander, particularly one that writes from the side, one thing I'm always aware of is smearing and smudging. I have found this ink to be a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to drying time and resistance to smudging, even with an extra-fine nib. Some of this is attributable to paper differences. On a Midori MD A5 notebook, I have encountered smearing even after the passage of several minutes. On a receipt, however, the ink does not smear even though less time has elapsed. None of this is a criticism of this ink, but lefthanders should be aware that their experience may vary depending on the paper and nib being used.I'm not an expert in ink prices by any stretch, but 60 mL seems to be a decent amount for the price. The packaging was very lovely and I did not have any leaks whatsoever, so I cannot be more pleased on that front. In the final analysis, I think most fountain pen users will be pleased with this ink if they are looking for a bluish gray hue. Lefthanders, however, should be mindful of the propensity for smearing and how they might combat that.

Excellent Quality Ink (Peach Blossom)
I ordered the peach blossom color ink, and it’s the perfect spring pink shade. I swatched it immediately when it arrived, and it really is so lovely. The glass bottle and metal lid are very sturdy, no worries of leaking. The box has a little seal on it in the color of your ink that says “We are willing to serve everyone who takes a pen”. I have purchased several HongDian fountain pens as well, and they are really top notch. I’ve been a fountain pen user for 7 years now, and my collection ranges from Montblanc, all the way to Jinhao’s, and HongDians. Back to the ink. It has a very lofty, delicate, yet saturated color, and I like it very much. It shades beautifully as well. There is definitely enough ink to last me years. I’ve already got a pen inked with it, and it writes beautifully, and looks lovely on Tomoe River paper. Excellent quality, and I won’t hesitate to buy HongDian ink again in the future.

Surprisingly very good!
I titled "Surprisingly Very Good" because I hadn't tried any Chinese Hongdian inks, nor had I watched/read any reviews bc they are new to the Amazon US market, I believe.Well, I either got super lucky with my color choice, or they are indeed a solid fountain pen ink & that's a great thing. So good I'll purchase additional colors this summer. Kudos Hongdian.

Hongdian Blue
This ink is great! I use it in my hongdian M2 brass and it has a very consistent flow while writing. You will have to let it dry a little before touching so you don’t smudge what you write. As long as it’s like 10 seconds and you are layering it, there are low chances of smudging. It has a good consistency of color for shading. If you are using plunger refills on your pens, it’s very easy to use. I think it was worth every penny as a beginner in fountain pens.
