I love this blender.it makes great shakes but it died after about a year. That is why I bought another one. I hope this one last longer.

Great product, easy to use and clean.

Simple and powerful. What's not to like?

Pros:• Price is decent for what you get. (Could be better but that's how most things are)• The blades are powerful (it cut thru my frozen banana)• Your smoothie will be blended pretty quickly• Comes with an extra cup with lids• Easy to clean• The blending noise is not super loud compared to other blenders.Cons:• logo sticker seems to be coming off (cheap appliance maybe ?)• Blender base seems a bit big for the actual bottle, so I think the bottle should come a little bigger.• weird smoky smell coming from bottom of the base when turned on?? 😳• The "lip lids" are kind of useless.Overall I like it but I'll probably return to update if or when it breaks. Would I buy again? Still too soon to say, above all else the smoky/burning smell throws me off.

I always considered making smoothies would be a mess to make. But I noticed they had smoothy blended frozen fruit at the store and about the same time saw this lower cost Oster blender. Voila. So I got both and introduced the two and away I go. I always have a fruit after lunch and one tires of apples and tangerines every noon but now I whip up a smoothy and pop the top off the glass and drink it down. Easy to wash for sure. The grinder part rinses off and the glass goes into the dishwasher. I bought two glasses and a tip lid to join up with the blender. Also...very little counter space is required. Compact and unobtrusive. Thank you Oster.

Got it as a gift for a friend. Very powerful motor. Makes great smoothies.

It was powerful enough for sure. After one year, it ground down the tynes that lock the canister in place. So I've had to manually hold it in by pressing down on the canister for the blender to work . Yesterday, without warning, the blender would not turn off unless I unplugged it from the wall. A year ago, I bought two canisters to replace the one that the tynes got chewed off from. They were the same make and model. They fit into the blender base properly, but would not spin! In hindsight, the entire product was an expensive planned obsolescence item . Don't buy.

Jar does not easily fit into base so that it runs hands free. The one time I got that to work, I had a VERY difficult time getting the jar off of the base. Works well if you don't mind pushing down on it while it's running. I also was disappointed with blade assembly. Instead of it being one piece; it's three, and you need to take it apart to thoroughly clean it. Blades are very sharp, so you need to be very careful.
