Exactly What I Expected
Not much I can really say about these crimp connectors. They aren't the super high end model, but when DYI comes into play, especially for the first time, they did just fine! For the money, great value. For the ease of use, well that's an experience thing. I was able to successfully put an end on a damaged feedline of mine, and the connection is working. I don't have super high end equipment to test and vet the feedline, but it works! To me, that is all that matters. No major loss and/or audible interference.I went 5/5 on the rating, but there are some drawbacks. First, the heat shrink sleave could be longer. Second, it does take some getting used to performing this task. But again, that is more on the operator than the product. All in all, I would buy them again. I just hope I don't have a need for ten (10) ends, except for perhaps making niche cables for the shack and portable station!

They work as advertised
They work as advertised. Just make sure you get the right size for your kind of coax. RG8 and RG8X are just a little bit different!

RG8X works great
RG8X works great - using for Amateur Radio Rf chokes, feed lines.

Seem to be working good enough
Good enough for hamateurs like myself!

Easy to attach to rg8x
I needed to pass 2 feedlines up into a wall which meat cutting off the original connector and attaching one after fishing the feedline through the wall. RG8X easily attaches to the connector with one crimp and one solder joint.

Very good connectors
NOT water tight make sure to weather proof if out side.

I Thought the Crimp Barrel is a Bit Small (Revised)
My initial thinking was that the crimp barrel is too small to allow pushing over the RG8X shield while still braided. I found that I had to undo the shield, smooth it out straight and trim the excess length to slide the barrel over the assembly before crimping. What I was doing was pushing the connector assembly too far. The inner shield tube was pushed under the shield and the outer sheath thus increasing the diameter the barrel had to go over. After realizing my cockpit mistake, I find they are very good.. I like the small opening for the center conductor -- makes it easier to solder without slopping solder on the outside of the center pin. In spite of the issue, I've already bought another group of ten. Like someone else stated -- they are a lot like the DX Engineering connectors. The only thing better about the DXE version is that they are silver plated.

Good Quality
They worked just fine for me, and were easy to solder to. You will need a crimp tool.73KG5OMX
