Review: Potato - In the absence of a plot, you cant call this a book. Imagine sitting in a resteraunt and the waiter comes out, sits you down and then proceeds to tell you about all the ingredients. After an hour of slides, pictures and rambilings, you are asked to leave. Get ready for a nonsensical plot, repeated paragraphs and a lot of fictional information with no story line. You would get better content from listening to drunk people at bus stops. Review: A really good book. I truly enjoy having all four books in one easy to read bundle. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

While I don't agree with some of the beliefs expressed within, the book is nonetheless a good read. The concept is different and the inclination to explain some of the magic within the bounds of the different worlds is quite interesting. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

This series is different from what I've come to expect from this author, but it is nevertheless a good series. One notable difference is that this series has a female main character. It's not the first time this author has done so, but I think it's worth noting. The book involved a lot of world building, where the reader learns about two worlds. There's a lot of information, at times, but for the most it is introduced at a good pace and in interesting ways.

This reads very lightly as a story. The rest reads like was in a magic class room. Interesting idea but 2/5 for the story I did not want to go to magic college myself! The rest is so “wiabu” it gets cringy. Almost like the author exhausted Japanese culture as a god.
