I drive from Tacoma WA to Mountain Home ID once a week for my route. I used them for the first time on the 2021-2022 winter. I put about 260 miles on my set. They say you should only drive 20mph on these but you can do 25-30 without any issues. I generally keep it at 28mph and call it a day. The cons: These are made of cloth so you need to make sure you try not to run over any chains on the ground as they’ll rip your autosocks. I had 1 autosocks have this problem. Pros: I often jump out of the semi and T-shirt, tennis shoes and shorts. It generally takes me about eight minutes to put five of these on. The biggest change for me was the level of anxiety. Are used to check tripcheck and Washington DOT website over and over to see what the conditions were. Now I do not care. I just drive, and if I got a put them on it’s no inconvenience whatsoever. My company did not pay for them. I get paid by the hour so I add extra on duty time to account for the savings of time to the to put these on versus chains. Hands-down, this is one of the best things I’ve ever purchased for my semi.

While getting into a situation where you must use traction devices is not recommended, this product will get you out of the situation quicker than installing heavy chains. Use them to get to the nearest safe parking area and wait out the winter weather until the all-clear is given. Lighter in weight to offset the weight of heavy chains.

Haven’t used them yet, don’t plan on it either. I bought them to cover chain laws in the states I travel. They are light, easy to store, and look pretty good. If I do end up using them I will update, but when chains are required I park. Yeah I’m a weenie, but I don’t need to drive through that garbage anymore.

We have a 52,000lb Motorhome that would not go in the garage because of snow. We put on the autosocks and it didn’t spin once. Went right in. Highly recommended.
