Perfect Pickleball paddle
I did a lot of research before deciding on this paddle. Based on the information I found, I decided that the best paddle for me would be medium weight, have small grip, have a longer handle and regular size face (not elongated).Medium weight- too light and it would take too much effort to swing to get enough power behind it. Too heavy it would not be comfortable, my hand would fatigue easier.Small grip- I am a petite women, so the small grip allows better control and it's easier to hold on to.Longer handle- allows a 2 handed back hand, much like a tennis backhand. This gives me a little more power and control by the ability to use 2 hands, especially when further from the net (at the back line).I am a petite 5'2" woman in my 50's, and this is the perfect size and weight for me.If you have the opportunity to try paddles before buying, that is the best way to decide, but not everyone has the opportunity to do that. If not do the research to find out what paddle is best for you. I have a friend who tried mine as well as 3 other paddles on the court one day, and she liked this one the best.

Control level 100; Spin level 100; Speed level 100; Power level 55
I've only been playing for eight months and have only played with the Paddletek Phoenix Pro. I went from missing a good number of shots to missing nothing. My biggest enemy now is my footwork and mental game. I've gotten comments like "You are so FAST" and "I don't know how you DO THAT?" and "How are you generating so much SPIN?". Honestly, I contribute it all to this paddle. I have a Table Tennis background and this paddle is about the weight of a Table Tennis bat. I am giving this one to my wife and getting the Neutron which is even lighter (I know I know but the difference is so slight she will never tell the difference). Know going in that this is not a Power paddle but much more of a control and spin one. It is incredibly thin and light. It being thin is what I like the most. It allows for unparalleled maneuverability and reaction time more akin to ping pong. The textured face gives you crazy control and spin (so fun for a ping pong player) and I feel the removal of the bevel extends the play area and makes the spin that much easier.. This Paddle has revolutionized my game. Thank you Gamma!

Great paddle, but not legal in tournaments
When I got this paddle in the mail, I was surprised at how rough the surface was. I was excited to get some really good spin shots with it. I brought it to the courts and tried it out and absolutely loved the way it felt. Entered a tournament with my friend and brought this paddle to our first match, and was told it wasn't allowed, and didn't meet official code. That was a pretty big bummer. I still use this paddle often when I go play, but not when I am preparing for a tournament. After a lot of use, only thing I have noticed is a small chip on the edge about halfway down the face of the paddle. It seems the flat seams were the problem here, and hitting the ball a little too hard on the edge caused this. All in all, a great and fun paddle to use, but use caution if this is going to be your only paddle and you want to eventually play in tournaments.

This is a good paddle
Phaser 2.0Background: Grew up playing tennis, ping pong and badminton.Bought this paddle on a recommendation from a player at the courts. A friend got some starter paddles that were terrible so it was time to get with the program. This paddle suits me very well. I've been playing for 8 months now and have become very competitive. I recently bought a second as a backup and a loaner if someone needs or if I break one. This paddle feels so comfortable. The grip and weight are perfect for me.While I might consider a different paddle for "more power", I just love the feel of this one. Maybe there will be another in my future? But for now, this is an extension of my hand and super comfortable. You can get power off of this paddle, but you need to put more into it from a few others I have tried. The problem with those was ... long handles. Tad heavy. Big grips. So, I have ZERO issues. You will love this paddle. I know i do. Good luck!!!

Singles Not Doubles, Power Not FInesse
As a 4.0 singles/doubles player I tend to hit very hard. Most poly core paddles focus on touch and feel which means they dont have any power. The Nomex core gives the Atomic 2.0 a ton of power. At the net however, the core creates difficulties in dinking. I tried several paddles under $75 and the Atomic was the best of the bunch, but it does have limitations. My partner purchased a $160 paddle and it feels totally different and honestly much better. The Atomic does superb in driving the ball but it lacks the ability to accurately dink or effortlessly hit 3rd shot drops unless you practice relentlessly. I'd highly recommend this paddle for certain games against certain players but in a doubles situation with lots of dinking and kitchen play, there are better paddles. For daily rec play, this may be the best paddle on the market, but in tournaments you might as well spend the extra money and be done with it forever.

Light and responsive with good balance of power and control
I like to use spin in my game and this paddle generates plenty with its textured fiberglass face. Its also just a bit lighter than other paddles I've played which I think helps reduce my shoulder pain. This paddle is used by several of the mid-level players on our local courts. I avoid backhand shots whenever possible because of a shoulder injury. The long handle is great for those who switch hands during play and I like the feel of the small circumference. Definitely a great value at $39.I have been playing with this paddle for about 6 months and there are a few very tiny chips in the face that dont seem to affect play. The grip material gets a bit slick when wet with sweat so a wrist band is a good idea.I saw another reviewer downgraded this paddle because it was not approved for tournament play. This is no longer correct. The Gamma Micron 2.0 is listed as PASS on the USAPA website.
