Still getting used to doing close up work but this really helps
For the price you can't beat it. It connects via USB to my power strip and has 3 settings. I didn't get the stand because the clamp was perfect for me and it really is secure. The magnifier takes a bit of getting used to but is a really nice aid for working on model details and jewelry. I can recommend this without reservation. If I don't like a product I'll certainly let you know. I'll post pics of the finished model when it's done, but every tool, light and paint will have been bought right here on Amazon. I like this seller.

Excellent Affordable Desk Lamp for Miniature Painting
This lamp has proven its worth many times over. I only wish I had also gotten the stand so that it is easier to use on all surfaces.

ZERO STARS
When it was working it was fantastic. I used it more or less a dozen times, all for short periods. Then today I was going to show it to my daughter and it's dead. D E A D, DEAD. The little control is glowing blue like it should but when you press the button it might blink on for a split second then it shuts off. No amount of button pushing or fiddling with it gets it to work. Being that it gets it's power from a wall-wart, I swapped it out with one that I know for 1000% to be good and working. Same results. Whatever is wrong with it is either in the little controller or the light itself and not the power supply.I was about to buy a second one to put on my desk, good thing I discovered this one was kaput.I'm really freaking pissed off because the return window has closed so now I've got $35 of dead junk I have to replace at full expense to me.I would have given this thing five stars last week. Now I give it ZERO.I would not buy another one, I would not recommend anyone buy one.DO NOT BUY, DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY ON THIS P.O.S GARBAGE !
