Great small pool!
I'm writing this review to help others decide about making this purchase. Before I ordered I read all of the reviews and I found them to be very helpful. This pool has been amazing! Setting it up was easy right out of the box. It only took us about fifteen minutes to get it up and filling with water. I had my three adult children helping my husband and me. We had previously spent about a couple hours on another day leveling the ground to prepare for the pool. As you can see in the picture it is sitting right off the edge of our covered patio. Because the pool sits a bit on the patio we used a small layer of play sand covered with two thick paint tarps to protect the bottom of the pool. Next time we set it up we'll probably use some kind of foam or compression mats to do a better job of protecting the bottom where we climb in and out. We've had a few pinholes appear but was able to patch them successfully with the clear patches that came with the pool. (Just stuck them on under water and they are holding up.) The pinholes appeared after using the pool for about eight weeks. Not surprised because I climb in at the same spot everyday. We have some steps set up because the pool is too short for a ladder but too tall for me to climb in. The kids just step over the side. Size of pool: The pool has a diameter of eight feet. It's just the right size for two adults to float side by side. I can sit on the bottom with my face just clearing the surface. I'm 5'1''. Chemicals: I have a chlorine tablet floater and it uses about one three inch tablet every 8-10 days. I've also added one cup of baking soda about once a week. I've used some shocker a couple of times because my mother likes to wear a lot of tanning oil. Throwing a tennis ball into the pool helps to soak up the tanning oil. I also put a Mr. Clean eraser into the filter on top of the basket. I think it helps. My pool has been crystal clear since the first of May. The filter cartridges are super small. The pool comes with one which I ruined immediately by leaving it in the pump for three days. I was able to order more from Amazon and now I take the filter out every night and clean it. I was able to rescue the ruined filter by soaking it in Oxi Clean then running it through my dish washer. It came clean and I still use it. I have four filters that I rotate. They seem to be holding up well. The filters were a special order because I could not find the size at our local store. Keeping the pool clean has been pretty easy. I usually skim it before I use it and I've been in it almost every day. Once or twice a week I use a battery operated vacuum to get the grit off the bottom. It was 35$ and really meant for cleaning a hot tub. The handle is about five and a half feet long so I'm able to almost reach the entire pool from one spot. You could also just use the skimmer to get the grit out. I bought a cover and used it a lot in May because we had trees dropping whirlygigs and I didn't want to have to clean those all out. I've probably used the cover twice since June 1st. A lot of the reviews talked about the small pump. It is small but since it's just me and occasionally my mom using it, it has worked fine. It only runs about eight or nine hours a day and it hangs on the side of the pool that spends the least amount of time in the direct sunlight. This little pool has been a great purchase for us. My adult children, who do not live with us, wish it were bigger. It's the perfect size for cooling off after working in the garden and since it's small it been easy to keep up. It also does not eat up much of our yard! We opted for the black whicker-like color so it would blend in with the surroundings. If you are wanting to get started with a pool for the first time this might be the perfect one for you! Good Luck!

MUCH better than the Easyset models!
I bought this to replace the 8' Easyset inflatable pool because my autistic son wouldn't stop leaning on the inflated ring and dumping dozens/hundreds of gallons of water into the yard every day. I've only had to add water to this once, and that was due to a filter changing accident. Setup was easy for one person, the result is nice and sturdy and much more tolerant of not perfectly level ground that the Easy Set.The skimmer on this was an unexpectedly awesome bonus. It really helps keep the leaves and tree flowers from collecting in the pool, and the mesh basket keeps the big stuff from clogging the filter. I opted to hack my skimmer for use with a 1000gph sand/canister filter, but for more... sanitary kids the stock filter is probably OK. I cut out the filter mount in the bottom of the skimmer and epoxied in a standard pool hose fitting. I then hooked that up to the sand filter input.2020 UPDATE: I’m setting up the pool for its 3rd season this weekend. In the fall I disassemble it, scrub off any dirt or algae with a brush and hot water, then spray it down with “shower fresh” before stuffing it in a contractor size trash bag and tossing it in the outdoor pool supply bin. It’s nice to be able to start out with it clean and ready to set up (once I check for holes and patch them). There’s a little surface rust around some of the holes on the frame, and the liner is a little faded in places and stained in others where I didn’t get leaves out quickly enough, but none of that will be noticeable when it’s assembled.I do wish they sold just the liner, as mine has a lot of patches due small rocks that floated up through the sand I set it up on. I’ll probably check with the manufacturer this year and see if they can sell me one for next season. Otherwise, this pool is cheap enough that replacing the whole thing every 3-4 years is no big deal.Aside from the weak stock filter, the only thing I’m unhappy with is the pegs that hold the frame together. They are a pain to line up, and I have to beat some of them in with a soft-faced hammer. They seem to be a pretty standard thing for pool frames though.

Easy install, good size, but material not as quality as with a previous purchase
This is the second pool we've bought. The first one lasted two years, but this one lasted less than one year. The material of the pool's bottom feels flimsier than the first one, and so grass was able to puncture through it, so much of it that we were unable to repair it. Otherwise it's a great pool and the pump kept going all summer!
