A nice kit. The rings for candles help keep the flame steady and less soot. Also helps with melting the wax evenly.

For years I cut my candle wicks with a scissor. Of course, it was never easy especially on tall candles that had burned down low, but it did some how work. My old method did not always cut on the right angle or it didn’t always cut it short enough, but it usually did cut the wick. It’s not until you get a wicked trimmer that you realize you should’ve had one years ago. I think of how much easier it could have been to cut 30 years of candles with a wick trimmer versus a kitchen scissor! I was 50+ years old when I realized I needed one 35 years ago! Though the trimmer’s blades seem chunky and dull, it actually gets the job done. I thought the trimmed could have been more uptight as it gets hard to get inside the tall candles. Since I never had a wick trimmer before, I have nothing to compare it to, but so far it works. It just be a little bit harder to get the wicks that are deep inside a tall glass candle, yet so much easier than using a regular kitchen scissor. I recommend and the best part is you probably only need one in a lifetime. It’s important to trim wicks before lighting a new candle and it’s important to trim the wick if you’re re-lighting a candle, the work should only be a 1/4” high.

Great value! Makes a perfect gift. The lids fit perfect on my large yankee candles. If you are looking for a lid this is like getting two lids for the price of one and the lid is very sturdy. The other items that come with this set are a bonus! The candle scissors cut perfectly. Arrived in a nice black box with everything packaged very nicely. I am keeping this for my own candles but if you need a nice gift that is good looking and very presentable I am sure this would look nice under the Christmas tree. I really this set and it's great quality.

Very useful set, the candle now burns evenly, the cutter gets rid of the splits. They don’t get any burn stain, color remains the same even after touches the flame.
