I have had this product for over a month and waited to write a review until I became accustomed to carrying it on my dog walks. Happily, thus far, I have not had to use it and I hope I never do. There was an accident in one of the subdivisions that I sometimes walk through on my dog walks. Two large dogs escaped by digging under the fence, attacked and killed a Shitzhu being walked by pet parent. I researched what my best options were should we be faced with a dog attack either to my person, my dogs or all of us. I was unsure of which product was best for me. I contacted this company. The owner advised this one for my purposes, as the length would provide space between us and the potential attacker. Since there is no on/off switch only a trigger one must be mindful.of how you hold it and carry it. There was also yhe aspect of putting it on the ground while I picked up after my dogs. All of this had to become habit for me. In the end I would rather not be burdened with using one hand for this item. However, I would rather be safe than sorry. I do not wish to tempt fate or curry favor with danger. I also purchased the recommended by the owner authentic Duracell batteries for back up. I recommend this product for those who wish to protect themselves from attacks while out for dog.walks. Be mindful, by no means is this product a toy, and it does command respect.

The media could not be loaded. I originally purchased one of the cheap $30 stun batons, and if you read the reviews, I was lucky enough to get one that actually works - but for how long? I decided to but a quality baton, and this will certainly do the job. I had it in both hands checking it out just after I installed the batteries, and I forgot about the electrodes down the side. There is no way anyone could take this sucker away from you by grabbing it. And the amount of current that it will produce gave me an EXTREME muscle spasm all the way up to my shoulder. I have three torn tendons in my left shoulder, and the pain was through the roof! I purchased this for animal control, and I have no doubt what-so-ever it will do far better than the cheap ones. Just read the reviews on the cheaper models and decide for yourself whether you want quality, dependability, and functionality, or if you want to save a buck. I have been an electrician all of my life, and it's not the voltage that counts, but the current output when current is regulated.

What i was looking for but not as hefty as ones from the past. Good stun factor but hesitant to use as an actual baton. a lot of plastic.

I purchased this product because my two boxers recently began fighting. After taking a bite to my left arm trying to break up one of their fights, I decited it was time to take control and that this was the safest method to stop them from fighting. I ordered and received a faulty product on first shipment. Plugged in batteries and it worked once and wouldn't work again. Would only make a humming sound near the batteries. I immediately got on Amazon and filed a return. No joke within 15 minutes (and on a Saturday mind you) my phone rang and it was the Owner of the company! He walked me through some things hoping to fix it over the phone. Unfortunately those things didn't work. However, he apologized and advised me he was immediately shipping me out a replacement. I received it Tuesday and it works like a charm! And who says customer service is dead? Give these fine folks an opportunity to earn your business. I have nothing but good things to say. As for the dogs if they even look at each other funny all I have to do is pick this bad boy up and they are immediately in check! So far so good and I have not had to use it. Just let them hear the Zapp and all is well.

This product came with no instructions and wrong parts.

This is my 2nd one. The first one was stolen after I set it down for 20 min in a park. I had it for a year and a half and had no problems with its reliability.During Covid, They were out of stock and I purchased 3 tasers that haven’t brought me near the comfort and confidence to walk my 2 small dogs. I’m so happy I’m finally able to have this product back in my possession!!!It has deterred big dogs from approaching in the past just by the loud and strong sound it gives off.It has also deterred irresponsible dog owners from walking too close and they quickly control their dogs. When people see you carrying this- they pay attention and keep their distance! I am so much more confident with it! It’s worth every penny!

I have carried this for a little over four months. This morning the little ring that is molded in the top (where the strap goes through) wore through. I did not drop it, abuse it, etc. The loop was so thin it just wore through in less than five months. You would think that at this price for essentially plastic pipe with a battery they would mold the plastic loop to some sort of thickness. No this was molded to a thickness of about 1/16". I doubt if they could make this piece of junk any cheaper. Save your moneyUpdate:It completely stopped working after 4 months - save your money

I purshased 2, and both the little ring that is molded in the top where the strap goes throught wore/broked through, I did not drop it or hit it, ect. So, now it is difficult to carry! I wish to find the manufaracter phone, to see if they could sale me a replace end cap where the strap goes😑
