Q: Is there a Kindle Fire app for this?

My son is getting a new Kindle Fire HD8. You said 2014 HDX8, but this is newer so I assume it would work. Just want to be clear before I order.

You can use the toy without an iPod or android device but there are more options of things it can do with one.

Q: Does it work with an Ipad mini?

Can't answer about an iPad mini, but MoP works great with my daughter's iPad air. Just downloaded the app from the app store. Works fine. Also works great from my HTC one.

Q: does this robot talk?

Not really, there is a sound when it falls down that somewhat sounds like it’s saying oh no or uh oh. My daughters favorite thing to do with it, is connect her tablet with it and using the app to drive it in to things so it falls and grumbles.
