2016 RX 350 Joystick and Navigation
Overall does what it says it does. However, phone call quality isn’t great. Also, joystick functionality is almost unusable. Left and right work only. Up and down is basically rolling the dice on where it will move next.Wish I bought one of the competing products. They cost a couple hundred more but they work flawlessly.

Very good solution on balance.
This generic wireless Apple CarPlay is a solid solution for Lexus vehicles that have lost functionality due to losing 3G capabilities. It works well 95 percent of the time. That is better than the alternative which is zero. It will be more reliable as time goes on. On a scale of 1-10 this product is about a 7, if you are mechanically inclined.

It's working
It does work and if you follow the instruction ..you will have no problem with the screen size ...so far i can't connect it to wifi but i didn't try enough yet ... it doesn't have play store to download more apps ...but again i'll try to find a way to do it

Nearly un-useable. Disappointed in results.
I bought an Apple Carplay module for my 15 RC350 non-ML system with touchpad nav control.Took about 2 hours to install. The hard copy instructions provided are only for the NX and ES. Even if RC instructions would have been provided, I'm not sure they would have been as helpful as a YouTube video (for a different Carplay module) . The video was mostly helpful for dis-assembly of the dash and routing wires. But because of the video being for a different product, at some point, the video becomes irrelevant.Keep in mind, I was really looking forward to having Carplay in my car. But after everything is up and running, it's been a disappointment and I couldn't be more bummed about it.1. The track pad control is maddeningly inconsistent and frustrating. Super touchy, and there is little to no control of where it goes on the screen or hard presses. I found myself navigating apps using the phone, and the NOT the car interface.2. I made a few test hands-free phone calls. The calls sounded amazing compared to the Lexus hands free calls. However, the caller on the other end experienced a terrible echo which made it frustrating for anyone NOT in the car. So making calls was mostly unaseable.3. I could not figure out how to talk to siri via handsfree. Voice/hands free communication doesn't really seem to be an option that I've been able to figure out over the past few days. BIG FAIL.4. The only real useable thing was being able to type directions into my phone and use the dash screen for turn by turn. At night however, the screen is super bright white, and does not go into a dark mode/gray scale.

Beware Buggy car play interface
The media could not be loaded. My car comes with a 360 camera and when slowing down the car to under 15MPH my front camera will turn on. After installing this retrofit kit the system becomes very buggy especially when you’re in stop and go traffic at times the screen will go blank since the infotainment system can’t decide what to display on the screen the factory infotainment or the car play interface. Also at the bottom there’s a flashing line that goes across the bottom of the screen which becomes very annoying to look at. I’ve checked the dip switches and cable connection and it is set to the specified setting found in the installation manual. Also the factory infotainment navigation button becomes buggy in CarPlay mode. I tried contacting the manufacturer & seller about the issues I’m experiencing but there are no contacts available for product support. I’m not sure why Amazon would allow products like this to be sold on this platform without product support.

Got Carplay
Got Carplay but using the joystick is definetly a problem. Problem is that the joystick is still controlling the OEM screen that the Carplay is overlaying. Moving left/right/up/down is limited by what is on the OEM screen. Overcame this issue by using Siri to do as much as possible. i.e. Activate Siri by holding button down, then say 'Open Waze', or 'Open Google Maps', 'Open Apple Musice'.... I got this at a discount (used return) for much less so okay with I got for what I paid. And using screen mirror did not use full screen which was a disappointment. But I really just use it to display my maps and music.

Excellent for DIY
Converted my 2016 Lexus to a Apple CarPlay. I recommend whatching youtube videos of “how to install”.30 minutes of assembly and you are good to go

This unit works great
I had originally purchased a BeatSonic unit, I was very disappointed. This unit has been great. The installation was less than an hour and customer service helped me with a minor issue of the screen overfilling with CarPlay.I highly recommend this unit.
