Assurant 3-Year Appliance Protection Plan ($75-$99.99)

In this day and age you always want product protection beyond the warranty.

Almost at the end of the 3 year warranty- and the cooler began to leak. I didn't recall that it was a 3 year policy, so was pleasantly surprised once I looked it up- and to realize that it was a few months before it expired!I went online but was not able to file the claim directly online, because at the time of purchase, some of the needed information did not transfer over. I expected a huge battle to get it handled, but I was completely mistaken!I used the chat feature- and once all the prelim questions were asked/answered, the representative proceeded to process the claim. I was again totally surprised that I received my full purchase price in refund, even though we were within 3 months of the 3 year expiration!! By the time I had exited the claims process and pulled up my email, the gift card was in my inbox!This was extremely easy, painless and such a great experience!! I purchased a new cooler (Man, they have gone sky high in 3 years!) and looked all over to purchase another protection plan, but it did not show as available.I will continue to utilize these plans whenever possible!

I can't really give a review yet because I purchased the warranty on an item (Bismi Washing Machine) that broke within the return period (30 days).I'm hoping I can transfer this warranty to the new washer. Will update.

I purchased this coverage in conjunction with a small kitchen appliance(through Amazon/Sep). Registration could not have been easier, straightforward, and very informative. The two times I needed to call the customer service number, clearly listed for the direct number for the department I needed, the representatives I was able to speak with were most gracious, and actually treated me with a respect and attitude that is rare. I never spent more than one minute on hold (each time I called) and registering/verifying my product was simple and handled with care and efficiency. Follow up email was sent within two days, with clear, concise, and easily accessible link to print my entire product/registration/warranty/verification all at once, without even having to leave my email inbox. Very impressed!

Had to cancel the plan and wish I hadn't. We had tried to return the appliance that we bought the plan for but the appliance company (wine cooler) wouldn't hear of it because it wasn't a defect. It was smaller than dimensions indicated. But why I'm telling all of this is because the Assurant 360 company actually called me personally and wanted to know why I had cancelled. Of course I went through the whole ordeal with them. They were so very nice and sincere that I promised if I had the chance I would let others know if their service was as good as their concerns were then people will do well with this company.

Please be advised that these plans are 3 years (or two) depending on the type that you get from the date of purchase. This does not add on to the manufacturers warranty, but overlaps it.

We bought this to cover a portable ice maker we needed. The ice maker just broke so I contacted Assurant and within 24 hours had an Amazon gift card to buy a new ice maker. I was so happy with this plan that when I purchased the new ice maker I also bought another protection plan.

I don't know how good it is till I have to use it then I will let you know.
