Amazingly entertaining and scorchingly hot read
Lethal In A Kilt (Hot Scots Book 7) by Anna Durand features the elusive and secretive Logan MacTaggart. Phew! This Hot Scot is lethal in so many ways, most of them deliciously dirty! Serena is fierce in her own right and lethal to Logan once they get past all the misunderstandings and misplaced feelings. Neither one makes a very good impression on the other and it seems this is done purposely on each of their parts. Deny is the name of their game and it can only hold out so long against the strength and persistence of their deepest desires fueled by unstoppable chemistry. The plot, along with the development of a relationship and shifting feelings is both entertaining and engaging. I swear Logan and Serena have regressed to elementary/primary school yard antics! While very adult, Logan is a master dirty talker, every early interaction is meant to stir up trouble and prompt a negative reaction. Serena delivers with gusto! She is not shy about speaking her mind about his behavior and pretends she wants nothing to do with him. For both of them that may be true, but deep down, they actually want and need the opposite. The plot has both mystery, danger, suspense and emotional entanglement. Logan and Serena go on mission/adventure together and discover more layers, added depth of each other and new worries for Serena. Their backstories are the root of fear and worry, especially for Serena.Overall, Logan is a true MacTaggart alpha full of determination and persistence in finally securing Serena's heart. Despite their rocky and antagonistic beginning, Logan and Serena are destine for smoother sailing moving forward and bound for a wonderful, fun and family-filled HEA.

too much trouble- in a kilt!
The MacTaggart clan is large with many offspring and offshoots. These salty Scots and bonnie, brav lasses are full of a list for life and stubborn and tangled loves.Logan is a real life Bond style spy/ military guy. Life behind a desk is a completely boring thing for him. Life down range a bit too fast as long as he’s been at the game.Serena is a widowed single mom, whose husband was an special operator with the US military. An arrogant mostly retired spy warrior has too much lethal baggage for her to hang ontoCan they get past their egos and limits and let themselves live full lives, and love each other?Action packed romance

Lusty Logan
As one that has never missed a single book in this series, I was floored at the beginning of this one. It was so slow and silly and not at all like I know Anna writes. Then it took off and wow, I loved it. I guess the start had to show what an ass Logan was and why Serena hated him for being so stupid. Just as boys did in grammar school, Logan was attracted to her and was scared to death of it, therefore made a fool of himself. Once they both realized they were very much attracted to each other, the story went full blazes on and into an adventure and then a family gathering of the MacTaggarts. This was a very heartfelt story that gave us background into both Logan and Serena and the whys and wherefores of each of them. It was the usual Durand with wit, warmth and a great HEA. It also had a very good set up for the story between Catriona and the "British Bastard" and wet our whistle for that as well. Too bad we have to wait til Fall to read it. Boo! That being said, read this one it is a doozy. Enjoy!

Spy Turned Full Time Sweetheart!
I have fallen in love with Anna Durand's books as they are so full of everything I like in a Romance: smart women, hot men with heart and a few suspenseful twists and turns that lead to a happy ending. Lethal in a Kilt delivered all that and more as I swooned over Serena and Logan's relationship. Don't get me wrong, Logan made me want to smack him quite a bit at the beginning of the the book - and how in the world Serena didn't deck the guy, I do not understand - but you knew all the smart-mouth activity would erupt into passion. But the passion on the page is nothing compared to when the story is performed by Shane East and Emma Wilder in the absolutely wonderful audiobook! A Scottish accent is not easy and these two drop Gaelic words like experts, then flip back to English & American accents without missing a beat. The amount of giddiness was off the charts when the dialogue of the main characters turned into full on banter - so amazing to listen to their talent.Who doesn't love a good spy who retires and the heroine who can bring out the sweetheart hiding beneath the smug, sexy, protective attitude? This is a romance story I'll be adding to my repeat listen pile!

I liked it
This is an enjoyable read with an enemies to lovers theme, it features a single mum and a hot scot, the banter is witty and snarky and the story flows well. The chemistry between them is palpable and undeniable. I enjoyed how the relationship between Logan the ex-military man and Serena the widow developed despite how her son felt about Logan. It's a sometimes funny well-written story which has a good HEA.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The opposite of Hate
For two people who are convinced that relationships are not for them and the snarky retorts being thrown back and forth, the sparks dont just sting they explode into one awesome love story. For Logan and Serena their adventure starts with the idea that they are so not right for each other to a mystery that takes them across the pond to a meet and greet with three more MacTaggart family members and a love story to rock you to the bones. Wonderful imagery, heartfelt romance and a tease for the next love affair.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fabulous as always
A sexy, funny, action packed story in an unbelievably riotous series. Wonderful characters, witty banter, and hot sex! Doesn't get better than that. And there's more to come!

Buyer's Remorse
I preordered this book because the blurb sounded pretty good, and I'd enjoyed previous books by Anna Durand. Unfortunately, this one was only worth 2 1/2 stars to me. The initial tension between the H & h was not witty or clever, but merely his sexual harassment and her b*tchiness. Then, a switch is flipped and now they're so totally compatible, they aren't even discreet in front of her teenaged son. I'm no prude, but it all seemed pretty sudden. Then Logan is supposed to be an ex-spy, but seems to lack good judgement by bringing Serena on a mission. And Serena, formerly a nurse now working as an executive assistant, feels confident watching his six? Give me a break - so much was unbelievable. I could go on, but ultimately I was left feeling greatly disappointed.
