Perfect tool for my video work 📷
I've started learning how to properly edit my videos, including getting accurate colours and skin tones. This is a very handy tool and although it costs a lot, it's functionality definitely allows me to get professional quality in a short amount. In Davinci Resolve, if you use the colour tab, the profile for this color check is present and editing your video is very streamlined. I've also used this colour checker for photos and also colour grading in Unity. Definitely worth the price.

This is great
The Datacolor Spyder checkr color calibration tool is really nice. It was fresh and the colors seemed spot on. It had a shelf life of 5 years. I could smell the fresh colors when I opened it up. Very nice!

It's Magic
This tool is magic. You don't even need to download the plug-in for it to work amazing. I prefer Lightroom over Lightroom Classic so I didn't download the plug-in yet. I took a photo at the beginning of the session with this in the background. When I imported to LR, I just used the white balance tool in the second lightest white/grey. It instantly made the photo come together. Attached are 2 finished examples with one of the pre-edited photos. All color balance was achieved through this product.

Works great, nice features. Wish it was metal!
Both the left and right color cards have the gray target and exposure chips on the reverse side. The spine of the card has a 1/4-20 female thread on the bottom, and a retractable 1/4-20 male screw on the top. The protective case is plastic, but feels okay. It stays shut with magnets which feel nice. I would absolutely pay an extra $50-100 for a metal version of the case. It works great with MBR Color Corrector 3.0, and I know there’s some controversy over this chart not having vectorscope-aligned chips, but if you’re using MBR or Resolve, it doesn’t matter in my opinion.

but found using my eye was the best way to get the most consistent skin tones
I've been a photographer for 9 years and have had grey cards, the datacolor passport, expo discs etc, but found using my eye was the best way to get the most consistent skin tones. Though with some natural light, it was tough! Especially when overly bright. Using the grey card side, this tool has the perfect skin tones when using to set custom white balance with my Nikon d850. Not sure if its the combo or just the right shade of grey (yes, its different tone than my other grey card). Anyways, the last 4-5 sessions have had perfect skin tones that match across the spectrum with only exposure adjustment (I like a little brighter).

Works Great!! really cuts down on the post production time.
Works Great!! and really cuts down on the post production time. When using different cameras the color can be slightly off to a great deal off, even with the same camera bodies. By making color corrected presets for each one, your photos closely resemble each other. I do recommend watching the videos on using the product for the first time( its just easier). This is the first step to color correction for your photos, Second is to edit them on a color calibrated monitor( a high quality monitor where the color output is 100% of sRGB, and as close to 100% of Adobe RGB really helps) Finally either send your photos off to a lab for printing or buy Spyder print and calibrate your printer.
