These work great with Alexa but don’t download the DayBetter app. Didn’t work with my iPhone. Then I saw the barcode on the outside of the box that said to scan here for the app. Turns out to be the Tuya app and works perfectly

I’ve installed these lights in fixtures that don’t have easily accessible switches, and they’ve been working great so far. It’s pretty much plug and play using the Tuya app—or in my case, Home Assistant. I also linked them to my Google devices, and they respond to voice commands with no issues. There’s a wide variety of colors, and they’re bright enough to light up our rooms comfortably. The build quality seems solid, and they fit into any standard fixture. The only drawback is the “dance mode,” which is supposed to sync with music. It works, but only with a single bulb, and the Tuya app must stay open. It uses your phone’s microphone to detect sound, which means you can’t really use your phone for other things while entertaining—especially with kids, in my case. Overall, a great product with lots of potential!

Update The company reached out and offered a full refund and followed through. My husband ended up getting 2 lights to work with Alexa. It was a major pain in the ass he had to google it. The customer service was super friendly! I just wish it was as easy as the instructions in the box instead of having to go through google to get them to halfway work. The ones we got to work are incredible. Alexa will turn on and off as well as change the brightness and color on demand. Original I bought the 10 pack. We just bought our first house and thought these would be perfect. The set up was a pain in the butt. Once it’s finally done I paired it to my Alexa the whole reason I bought these bulbs. Well Alexa says it’s paired but doesn’t work with the lights. She says the lights are unresponsive or she can’t find them even tho they are paired. The only wait to control them in the tuya smart app which is very frustrating. Anytime you flip your light switch is resets your bulb and you have to completely repair and go through the entire process again which takes forever and it’s a pain. I would not recommend these.

I have been searching out smart light bulbs for my whole house. I wanted something easy to install, compatible with Alexa, as well as app control without voice control. I wanted something that could be rainbow, and offered a daylight setting (yellow light gives me migraines) Something that could be bright light or dimmed as well. I was also hoping for bulbs that could even change colors with music but this was not a requirement. Above all I wanted something easy to install. I have tried many brands of smart bulbs including Gosund (2/4 of these stopped working after 3! Months also these were not rainbow only a yellow tone ) GE (both stopped working after less than a month they wouldn’t not connect to app or Alexa and only functioned as a regular light no smart abilities it just stopped working) wyze (every week I had to reprogram these) These bulbs were SO easy to install! No screw it in and then turn fixtures off and on several times. No need to re-enter wifi info for each bulb! A peeve I had with other brands. They were giving me an issue with installing using the Alexa app, so I downloaded the brands Tuya smart app and it was not an issue. With that app I was able to seamlessly link all the bulbs to Alexa, and assign them to groups as I desired. My son can change the color by asking Alexa to do it, a bonus for a kid who goes through those phases of being afraid of the dark. Any color in rainbow can be chosen, and you can choose any brightness level. These have a true daylight option for white light !!! Not limited to a soft white or yellow tone white light. I cannot rave about these enough! And the price!!! Smart lights get SO expansive and these for a 10 pack under $50 is amazing! I will be ordering more and recommending these to everyone I know wanting to upgrade to smart lights.

It is really easy to love these bulbs initially, hence how they seem to have good reviews. People usually rate immediately after trying an item. These are very affordable smart bulbs. They are versatile, and the app works great. The huge, totally negating problem is that they randomly reset with some frequency, and that frequency increases the longer you have them. Again: hence the seemingly good reviews. It takes weeks and months for it to start happening frequently, so initially, they seem great. Read the bad reviews, however, and you'll see this is a common (I suspect ultimately a universal) problem. Why is the reset so bad? Because it's very time consuming to individually relink the bulbs to the app and then arrange the bulbs in groups. I have 8 bulbs in my bathroom alone, so that takes quite a while. Worse, when they reset, they don't default to just being on; they flash. They will continue to flash until you attend to them. So if you have company, for instance, and the bulbs reset in your bathroom, living room, etc, you can't just wait until later to attend to it: you have to drop everything and individually reset them and regroup them...and hopefully none in your family or among your guests have epilepsy! Edited 9/21/23 to add: I truly despise these lights from the depths of my soul. I can't underscore or emphasize enough the level of hatred I have for these bulbs. As of tonight, they won't even reconnect. I tried teinstalling the app. Didn't help. I tried unscrewing the lights for an hour and trying again. Still didn't work. They are now officially useless, flashing lights. I am glad I live in the rural area so nobody heard all of the cursing. Please don't buy if you want value for your money, but especially if you have a low frustration tolerance lol.

I’ve owned a lot of smart bulbs and these were very easy to set up!

Good bulbs, work well with Alexa. MUST have 2.4g setting on wifi. NOTE: If router is not compatible with 2.4g then don't buy these bulbs. (Return them and buy Bluetooth bulbs with MESH protocol. Wow they work well with Alexa.) I was forced to return bulbs because splitting network signal seriously degraded my signal. Newer modems have auto settings and it will override them if you split 2.4g & 5g signals. NOTE: If wifi router is on AUTO or 5g. It will not find bulbs. You will need to go into Wifi Router Admin settings and rename 2.4g and 5g signals. LEAVE passwords the same for both. (This might mess up your router) I just added -5g and -2.4g to the end of channel name. This separates the signals. Note: in doing this you will lose some range of wifi signal. (5g is faster but has less range, 2.4 is slower signal but has greater range) NOTE: You will have to reinstall network on all equipment: Phones, Alexa, wireless printers etc.. because the wifi signal has a new name. Equipment will not recognize network until you do. Also some equipment might not work well on 5g may be better or work with 2.4g which is why router is set to auto. Consult your wifi router manufacturer for directions on splitting up signal. Once I split up wifi, setup Alexa on the 2.4g signal, and phone on 2.4g wifi signal (All 3 on same network to setup) everything went smoothly. 1st) Make sure router is 2.4g setting. 2nd) Make sure Alexa is also on 2.4g signal 3rd) Cell phone wifi with Alexa app installed on 2.4g as well. (All 3 on same network) 4) Install Tuyo App from App store 5) Power off light fixture then install bulb. 6) Open app then turn on light 7) Light blinks fast App should see it and install bulb. (Only do 1 fixture at a time) so you can name it in the app etc.) 8) Install Alexa skill for Tuyo and it should sink as well. Note: I also bought these other bulbs that were a different brand because my ceiling fan had candelabra bulbs. Even tho they were a different brand this app recognized and installed them. I have 10 of these bulbs and 3 candelabra bulbs all working with Alexa. I have routines setup. So either tell each light to come on or change color or have Alexa routine change many at once with one saying.
