Before this CatGuru dish, Jaspurr was a finicky little prince who’d nibble a few bites & walk away. Now? He eats like a shark, mouth wide & with zero hesitation. Turns out, his old bowl was tickling his whiskers. This one is shallow, wide, & total game changer. Bonus: it is dishwasher safe & scratch resistant (« Jaws » tested). 10/10 - great quality, stylish, affordable, & His royal floofiness is finally satisfied.

These are great for my cats and small dogs.The conclaved food dishes work great with kibble as it all goes to the center of dish as they eat. No waiting for you to move the food out from the sides. Zero whisker fatigue too.The gentle ridges of the dish help to keep wet food from moving to the outer edges so no messy floor to clean.They wash and dry like a charm. They are sturdy but may not hold up to bring dropped.

These are super. Bought 3 (we have 3 cats) and have used them for a while now. The cats enjoy eating from them AND us humans love the convenience and ease of them.1. They are made of a plastic that is easy to clean (and does not shatter when dropped.)2. They have a little curve in one side of the base which makes it easy to pick them up off the floor.3. We bought the cream color and they look great.4. We have confidence that our cats are having no whisker stress from a poorly planned cat bowl.5. Have used these for months (feeding wet food) and they still look brand new.Honestly I did not think these would make enough of a difference to matter, but they really do. I would definitely buy them again. So happy we chose these.

I don't have any cons, just pros. Worked well for a disabled kitty.We have a cat who had neurologic brain damage after surgery. He's slowly improving and we still hope for full recovery, but one big problem was feeding him. Initially I had to feed him canned food with a syringe, then by hand using a spoon. He wasn't eating independently from a bowl, or at least for only a few seconds. The bowls had non-skid bottoms, but were smooth inside and he didn't have the coordination to eat food that moved around.The design of the CaGuru bowls worked great. It concentrates the food in the bottom center. I suspect the Concentric rings also helped him visually and tactilely... he was initially blind but now has most of his vision back. The kibble was our first experiment. I didn't expect much, so gave him a small amount. He gobbled it and wanted more, which of course we were delighted to provide. The canned food, surprisingly, took a bit more time. When the kitty gets tired, his brain and body don't work very well. When he is rested, he eats the canned food quite nicely. One bowl is used for canned food, and one is for kibble.The bowls are very easy to clean and have survived drops from a 4 ft high kitty litter tree (the kitty can once again climb to a nice box cave on it and likes eating there - see the image). I also like the small cut out on the bottom edge. It makes the bowl easy to pick up and move around. Great simple design which has helped our kitty's recovery... he can eat independently with kibble available 24/7. Good nutrition, rest and time are helping him get better.

My Persian cat has a much easier time eating from this bowl. He has very long whiskers and now I know why he struggled getting the last of his kibble at the bottom of his typical bowl. I wish I would have known about these a lot sooner.I like the weight of the bowel and that it is porcelain. Also dishwasher safe.This bowl only holds a very small amount of food.....one quarter cup at a time. The back of the bowl should be built up, like a little wall because the food gets pushed off onto the floor while my cat is eating. I made my own little wall with aluminum foil.

I was hoping to find less expensive cat dishes made of unbreakable plastic because if I forget to bring them in at night, raccoons get to them and can damage or carry off the bowl. After trying several other cat dishes that were cheaper and flat bottomed, I noticed the cats had trouble mouthing the kibble into their mouths—especially as pieces got shoved over to the rim. It seemed they had a much easier time eating if the food was piled high rather than flat. So I bit the bullet and sprung for these more expensive bowls. They are heavy duty plastic and the ridges in the bowl do a good job of keeping the kibble stacked in the center. It seems the cats eat more of their food in this bowl—probably because it’s less effort to get it into their mouths. I got two bowls but bought only one “stand” to compare side by side to see if the cats preferred to eat from an elevated bowl or not. I was also hoping it would prevent the puking-after-eating issue, but, alas, my cats preferred not having their bowl raised and favored eating it at ground level. I like that there is a cutout at the bottom side of the bowl to help for lifting it up. (Maybe two or more of those cutouts would make it easier yet for grabbing up—I offer as a suggestion for the manufacturer.) And I like the light color bowl because it does not get as hot in the sun as a dark one would. I liked these bowls so much I bought two more. I definitely recommend them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After years of using the cat feeding system du jour (slant bowls, raised bowls, slow feed, etc), I noticed that, given a choice, my cats preferred a flatter bowl. These CatGuru bowls keep both my cats and me happy. Each bowl is about an inch high. They feature a ridged shallow bowl that offers a bit of slow eater and a lot of whisker room. There’s a hand opening in the base. I have several of these bowls—-they nest well together, but to separate them, the hand opening is essential. Best of all, my cats are doing better at cleaning up their food…..
