Bargain
As far as I can tell these are indistinguishable from the official foundation cameras and are a bargain at 1/3 of the price. I bought six of them and all function perfectly. They also fit precisely in the official Pi Zero cases (bear in mind that the mounting pins in the "camera hole" lid are not symmetrical across the lid's short axis so as with any Pi camera you have to make sure you have the lid oriented correctly -- if it doesn't seem to fit as expected, rotate the lid 180 degrees). My only complaint is that the camera module itself is not affixed to the board, but hangs freely, attached only by the press-fit connector which is prone to coming loose. It's nothing that a dab of glue won't fix, however.

it's cheap, it works, octoprint time lapses are magic.
The media could not be loaded. plugged it in to my raspi running octoprint, which is what a lot of people are probably buying this for. It required no set-up and takes beautifully adequate snapshots.

Need a bit of foam to use with Pi Zero case, otherwise it works great.
Works with Raspbian just fine. The color quality is not quite as good as the v2 camera, but it's forgivable if you can get this for less than half the price. On the other hand, in low-light conditions these give a better image than the v2.Using this with the Pi Zero case is difficult. It does snap into the lid just like the v2 camera, but the tiny connector connecting the camera module to the camera board comes loose every time. I put a bit of foam between the case lid and the connector, and that seems to be holding it in place.I'm revising this review and giving it one more star. I've had two of these in service for about two years. The foam trick works just fine.

The description is a bit misleading for the camera features but in a good way
For a while I was frustrated with this camera and its focus point being so far out. I am using it to take time lapses of 3D printed objects and the camera is less than a foot away causing the object to be blurry while the far wall is in focus. While the description of the camera says it is a fixed focus I think they meant that it does not have auto-focus.The lens of the camera can be twisted to move the focus point!Other than that it is a standard raspicam. You do need to remove the sticker from the lens when you get it. Also, for some reason they didnt stick the camera module to the control board. There is a sticker on the back of the camera though so all you need to do is peel off the backing and stick it down.

Comes 1/2 Assembled
First one arrived missing the camera entirely, second one came with the camera, but it wasn't attached to the PCB. The ribbon was pushed into the PCB correctly but the camera itself wasn't adhered. If you look behind the camera there is a white pad that needs to be peeled to expose the adhesive and then you can stick the camera to the board. After I finished their job of putting it together, it worked fine! Decent deal for the price.

Needed a camera for a pi.
A nice, cheap little camera! First one was DOA, but seller handled the issue well, and the replacement works fine!

poor quality all around
This camera module has very poor build and video quality. First thing I noticed when testing it out with everything has an orange / pink tint to it. The best I can compare the video quality to is an 80s VHS camcorder that wasn't white balanced. The module is also poorly constructed. The camera is not connected to the circuit board and floats on a tiny ribbon cable, it has a piece of double-sided tape on the back to hold it down. The worst thing was when I went to put the module in a case and the lens fell off the camera and I had to super glue it back on.

Works with OctoPi
Flex cable works out the box with OctoPi on my raspberry pi zero 2 W. Perfect for 3D printers! Quality is what you expect for a $10 camera.

Good for the price
The quality isn’t comparable to the original but it works and it was possible to adjust the focus a tiny bit :) Will probably buy the original when it’s in stock, but for now this will work fine :)
